Well, I only made it to the Saturday show. I flew into Dayton,OH from Baltimore on Friday and drove up with a homie saturday morning. We met at the Juggalo pizza party and hung out with a bunch of awesome ninjas and then headed back to the hotel to prepare for the night. Missed most of the opening acts which is fine and made it in time for Mushroomhead, Esham, Twiztid, ICP.
First off I’ve seen Esham live before many years back but he put it down hard! Best show I’ve ever seen him perform. I went to use the pisser after Esham and some ninjas in the crowd somehow knew ICP wasn’t coming on until midnight, which seemed like way too much time between sets. As I was getting ready to piss I heard the crowd explode and I heard twiztid and at first thought it was just tracks being played but quickly learned otherwise and quickly made my way down to the pit.. Madness, and to see twiztid on the same stage as ICP on the same night again was a good sight to be witness of.
The ringmaster show was on another level. Whole venue pretty much had zero security so it was a free for all getting on stage and jumping back into the crowd. Anyone know the capacity of Harpo’s because that place was way bigger than i expected? One downside of the show was all the smoking inside.. It brought me back to the old days of indoor smoking and I had trouble breathing at times but thats just a minor fault.

wutup yall i was there for only day 2. The show was absolutely amazing but the venue was way over sold and the smoking inside was fucking annoying as fuck. ICP doing ringmaster was obviously amazing but my fav set of the night was by far Esham. he absolutely killed that shit…did alotta classics and Natas joints with Mastamind. as for the Twiztid surprise….i wasnt surprised cuz i knew earlier in the day that it was goin down. i dont like them dudes much at all but they played only old shit and the set was short so it was fine.

How did you know about Twiztid coming? I had no clue.. Of course I don’t scour for news like I used to back in the day.

Shit looked dope on the feed. Sorry i couldn’t make it.Can’t wait to hear v rons posts about her weekend.
Shenanigans. Shenanigans aplenty.
Night 1: Kudos to St. Andrews Hall for being an awesome fucking venue. (… did anyone else see Chop working security?) Anyways, I dug the JCW matches; my friend and I made it in right before the Rudeboy match. And its always dope to see KG at these events … he has such a great personality and demeanor, its difficult to not like the guy.
The Hav Knots weren’t bad. I’m always curious to see how super groups, or whatever you wanna call them, play out. And if Bonez Dub is going to rock face paint, somebody needs to hook homeboy up. He looked like somebody’s JNCO jeans rocking stoner cousin that thought it would be funny to be the only adult with his face painted at a children’s birthday party.
DJ Yella and Lil Eazy E … and other Lil Eazy E (?) was a fun trip down memory lane. I thought they put on a great show, could’ve been a little shorter. But the best part was the couple behind me who thought they were covering a Dynamite Hack song.
Fuck the police and shitty college radio bands from the early 2000’s.
Lil Wyte was a pleasant surprise only because I completely fucking forgot he’d be there and I was drunk. I didn’t know who the hell it was until he performed Oxy Cotton.
Killjoy Club fucking schooled it. There has to be a great reason why that’s not touring. The whole venue went fucking insane. They played off each other so well, had great energy (Three cheers for skinny J!), the whole thing flowed so nicely and they seemed to be having fun with it. My favorite part was J and DJ Paul singing the backing vocals during Young Wicked’s verse during Fools whilst cheesing in each other’s faces. And I will overlook everyone straight FUCKING UP the chorus to Hammer Time because I do the same goddamn thing in my car. DEAR ICP: TAKE THEM SHITS ON THE FUCKING ROAD. THANKS.
Night 2: Didn’t make it to Harpo’s until the end of Young Wicked’s set due to an impromptu viewing of Deadpool and a horrible life decision that was dinner at Bravo’s. One of these days I’ll catch a full set.
Vaguely heard Mushroomhead from the lobby area. I just saw them in December with @violentdope. They usually put on a great live show.
First time catching Esham. Dude is talented as fuck. Please don’t judge me … I’m not that familiar with his music but I’m definitely inclined to reach back into his discography. And it was very entertaining to hear him announce that he created the Wicked Shit between. Every. Fucking. Song. Had we not been limited to Bud Light, I felt a drinking game coming on.
I had no idea Twiztid was going to show up. I was hoping that ICP would go on earlier (FUCK A 4 AM WAKE UP). But it was dope to see them perform a bunch of old school shit and wake the crowd up. I fan girled like a boss next to a woman with giant set of hairy balls sewn on her shirt. Juggalo Day, indeed.
The Ringmaster show was so damn cool to see. If I smiled any harder, my face would’ve cracked. I think Jumpsteady mentioned that they have no intentions of doing it again which is a total shame considering the fact that they were so on point, and again, seemed to be having a lot of fun on stage. The vibe I got from ICP is that they’re definitely in a good place right now. It was just a fun fucking show. And if anyone else went to the Milenko show a few years ago, you’d know why I appreciate that so much.
Things I bitched about: Had to leave during The Loons because I thought my lungs were going to evacuate themselves from my body via my asshole and drag themselves outside for fresh air. I understand why Harpos can’t allow folks outside to smoke (folks enjoy their lives and shit) but that many people smoking indoors for seven hours can fuck a person up. It felt like my organs were revolting against me. And Harpos is one lit cigarette away from recreating that Great White incident.
Fuck you to the uber driver that dropped us off over a mile away from St. Andrews Hall. I really enjoyed walking around the construction and wondering if we were in a shitty part of town.
And apologies to @drfreshness for sucking and never getting into contact. Those two days went a lot faster than I anticipated.

v_ron , no worries- I was planning to get in touch when I got to Harpos but it was such a shitshow in there it probably would have taken half the night to find each other. The internet says it holds 2,000 it seemed like there were a lot more than that. In any case way more than they should be letting in, I’ve never been in a venue that was packed like that. Do they not have fire codes in Detroit?
Day 1 was fun. I thought Hav Knots were the absolute shit, surprisingly so. I love the fact that they truly are the Hav Knots at Psychopathic- ABK can’t get his album out, Young Wicked’s solo album pretty much leaves AMB in the dust, and Big Hoodoo’s never had too many fans. But surprisingly they work really well together, I’m really looking forward to their album. I wasn’t super interested in Lil Wyte or Lil NWA. For me the Killjoy album was cool to listen to for a couple of months and then I never really thought about it again, kinda like that the Killjoy set was a lot of fun but nothing all that special. From what I’ve heard though a lot more people agree with v_ron than with me. The highlight to me was at the end when they played Chicken Huntin and I’m Coming Home, I kinda freaked the fuck out tbh.
Day 2 was so, so, so dope. Just the whole atmosphere was incredible, and between Esham, Twiztid, and the Ring-a-ding-ding-a-ling-a-ping mastah no sane person could have walked out of there without their wig exploding. At the end of the show there was a Lette just sitting by one of the railings watching everybody walk out and sobbing cause it was over, that pretty much said it all. I was primed for a bit of letdown based on some discussion in another thread here about big shows in Detroit, but it was exactly the opposite- unbelievable, so much energy. Even way better than ICP at the Gathering, because everyone wasn’t so tired.
Like @v_ron, I’ve not gotten much into Esham but him and Mastamind absolutely schooled the fuck out of it and people were so happy about that. Made me ashamed that I haven’t gotten into him before and I’m definitely gonna check him out more. I’m not a Twiztid fan at all and in fact they kind of fucked my shit up. I had made it down to the second row after Esham for Ringmaster, but when they came on there was a huge bumrush, I ended up with some scrapes and bruises not to mention involuntarily raping the dude in front of me before I bailed. It’s still dope that they showed up though, especially given what happened earlier this year and how much it means to the many Juggalos who love both Twiztid and ICP.
Ringmaster was off the fuckin chain. For me it’s a tossup between Ringmaster and Milenko for my favorite album so it might have been a bigger deal to me than some people but holy shit was it dope to hear Muder Go Round, Fun House, Southwest Song, Get Off Me Dog, Wagon Wagon, and all the rest. Especially since I don’t think I’ve heard a single one of those songs live before. I did catch a 2-liter in the throat but unlike my Twiztid-induced injuries I have no complaints whatsoever about that, it’s an occupational hazard. Completely agree with @v_ron that you could tell they had a great time doing the show, bodes real well for the Riddlebox tour.
@scottied , I saw you up ahead of me on the way out and tried to catch up with you outside but you were gone by the time I made it out. I guess people like you get picked up and whisked away in limousines or whatever rather than hangin around outside the venue like the rest of us!

I recall seeing YouTube footage of Vomit and Get Clowned too. I have no idea which show they preformed Get Clowned at but it didn’t seem to be on the main set list but there’s footage of it.

If by “people like you get picked up and whisked away”, you mean walking a mile through the Detroit hood soaking wet to @wow-a-chick’s 2006 Mazda 6 and getting naked to change into dry clothes while @scottiedswifey shielded me with a towel, then yes, you’re 100% correct.
