If anyone spends enough research into the horrid underworld of child trafficking and how often it leads back to powerful politicians, policemen, judges, lawyers, doctors, actors, musicians, etc it does seem like it’s a normal activity among powerful elites. That’s what terrifying. I also don’t like how there is a pro-pedophile movement or pedophile apologetics going on these days. These people do not deserve sympathy and I am sick and fucking tired of people acting like they do. Especially with that horrible Salon.com article that came out a year or two ago.
For example, I think that horrid ‘liberal’ academic and pedophile apologetic Margot Kaplan belongs in a gas chamber and then a crematoria. Fitting punishment considering she’s a Jew.
Man, even if you did have a couple valid points, you’re losing your shit midway thru em and goin waaaaaaaaaaaay off the rails. Like, using buzzwords to mock those using buzzwords while also being bigoted. That’s too many layers of delusional for me.
Sucks too because I haven’t heard a lot of discussion about what we should do with pedophilia. It’s almost always “we should kick their asses!” dumb violent shit instead of actual solutions. The idea of treating it as a disorder is interesting but at the same time, at what point does the treatment ignore appropriate punishments? Should there be punishments? Why or why not? The parallel that I think Vinyl was tryin to make to homosexuality is that homosexuality was once considered a mental disorder. Same with pedophilia now. If pedophilia is just a sexual preference (which it is. It’s fucking disgusting but that doesn’t change it) why are we trying to change someones sexual preferences simply because we dislike it as a society? Buuuut at the same time, consent seems like a good cut off point for what we are okay with or not okay with and kids certainly can’t consent. Fuck. There IS a good topic of discussion here and no one seems to be willing to discuss it without being awful. Bummer.

Some of the treatment methods for persons with pedophilia include cognitive-behavior therapy – such as relapse-prevention therapy, aversion therapy, masturbatory satiation and orgasmic reorientation
There is no “magical treatment” that will always work, but that doesn’t mean that treatments shouldn’t be investigated.
Currently they usually use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help pedophiles prevent rationalization, recognize triggers, and control sexual urges. Obviously this only has a chance to be effective if the pedophile feels regret or distress for their attraction.
There is also androgen deprivation therapy, aka medication to lower testosterone. And there may be evidence that antidepressants help preventing pedophilic urges.
There is no cure. You can’t fix it, and we aren’t even 100% sure what we are doing now is that effective. But to say “kill ’em all!” is dangerous in my opinion. I don’t think any crime is worth of instant death outside of a war zone.

I will say this: it seems like the Trump administration has been cracking down on human trafficking and sex slavery from what I’ve read. I think much of trumps agenda is abhorrent, but the fact that there are more than 20 MILLION people who are subjected to slavery in this day and age makes me sick, and I commend Trump and his DoJ for shutting as much of that shit down as possible.
