I hear you and I’m no stranger to the ups and downs @the hatchet but, this feels different. The level of personal drama is like nothing I’ve seen before with Psy. Projects aren’t just being announced early, they are blowing up in their face. Juggalo’s are divided.

I am amazed that J hasn’t learned to stop announcing shit until everything is 100% confirmed.

Agreed. I saw that and it put me in a good mood. I’m not beating the horse anymore. We don’t know what’s going on. The worst thing the internet causes us to do is jump to conclusion and it spreads like wildlife. Next thing you know we are all hating.

Take away the internet bullshit and pretend all you know is their music and their shows like when we were kids. You go to their shows. Anything different? Nope. I 100% agree with the sentiment of the post.

However, I feel like I need to interject that I’m NOT that OG. I was NOT there “back in the day” and my discovery of The Carnival is really entire DUE to the internet. Part of what attracted me to them to begin with is their connectivity with their fans that is just so much above and beyond any other musician/fan interactivity. The internet shows, the radio shows, sites like Faygoluvers…

I got into it right at the peak of Psychopathic’s OUTPUT of material and for me the stuff Twiztid was doing with The Purple Show and Shaggy doing his show, all the random drops they put out and how they responded so honestly and heartfelt immediately with their fans (ie Juggalos)… Just fuckin’ showed me how legit they all were and made me start thinking like I wanted to be down with anyone else who was down with THAT shit!

Not everyone has a gaggle of juggalo homies or have lived in a place that Psychopathic came to often. The internet was and still is the best and strongest connection many have with those down-ass mafkas. 

I TOTALLY agree that the internet has added the additional burden of “the immediacy of NOW!!!” but Psychopathic has always been about making US feel like one of THEM (come what may). I’m not gonna fault ’em for it.

The “problem” isn’t with openness, it’s with the fiending motherfuckers that stalk Facebook and deep dive into people’s internet histories in order to defame on a much DEEPER level than just hating on their music…
