Did Twiztid publicly accept to play the show? That’s what you should link, not VJs rambling recollections. As far as I recall, they never publicly accepted the invite.

They signed the contact to play the show after the march.

ICP said they would make all invitations public, what else did you want Twiztid to do?

What part of “the News Article that Faygoluvers had posted to the front page has since been deleted” has avoided you?

No you are right. Anything on Faygoluvers might not be considered “public” but I can recall the forum beginning to comment on them “… at least doing that” and THEN the whole “we turn down the march as a family” bit came out.

Are there any salty muthafuckers out there that wanna take the time to develop a visible timeline of events as they currently appear on the net (excluding of course all the shit that got deleted since then)?

Do it.

Do it.

I’m perfectly capable of standing corrected on it.

I just don’t like @masterweedo left hangin’ like he’s the only one that recalls the same thing.

And no, @spookythefungi it is not due to the currently trendy internet malady of which you speak. Thanks for the support.

If you’d let me interject, please.

@cheshyr and @masterweedo are both right. The Juggalo March site even had Twiztid confirmed for a lil’ while there.

Twiztid were reported to have accepted? That’s not what I said. Please link me to where Twiztid… Emphasis Twiztid… publicly accepted to play or said they would play. I don’t recall ever seeing that. The info on the March site could have been based on assumptions or otherwise posted in error. Why was the article deleted if it was accurate? Did Twiztid publicly accept? Say it with me now…

J publicly said, more than once, that Twiztid had a contract signed to play the concert after march, but didnt want anything to do with the march itself. I dont know why that isnt good enough.

Damn, thats messed up, if that is legit I can’t believe PSY would do that

It is legit. The Sheriffs department left that on ICP’s post about the concert being cancelled.

To be honest though. I fully expect the police to lie. But I’m also a believer in Occam’s razor. – the theory that makes the least amount of assumptions is most likely to be true.

So, lets take the two “prevailing theories”, shall we? and see which one makes the least assumptions?

1) ICP had contacted the venue and booked the show. Either fully booked the show, or at least had verbal confirmation that they could do the show there but hadn’t yet signed the contract or whatever goes into booking a show. the police then hear about the show and say “Well we can’t have any of them gigolo kids runnin’ around our town, no sir.”. Put pressure on the venue to cancel the show. and then both the venue and the police vehemently deny there EVER being an ICP show booked there.

2) ICP had plans to book the show there, maybe they even had verbal confirmation, again I have no idea how concert booking goes, J gets excited and goes off half-cocked, promising that the show WILL happen there, and that it IS booked. Someone else books the venue for that day. and then PSY releases the official statement to cover their ass.

Like I said before(possibly in a different post? I don’t even remember at this point). I honestly WANT it to be a conspiracy. Because the alternative is that PSY is covering up over excitement and going off half-cocked(which isn’t anything new for PSY), with a story about police discrimination and conspiracy to cover it up. and a lie like that shows a huge amount of disrespect for the juggalos. if, IF, PSY is lying here, they should’ve just came out and said “We got a little over excited with announcing shit, the truth is we had every intention of booking the venue, but hadn’t yet secured it. We fucked up”. that’s like…all it’d take. Own up to your mistakes, apologize and move on.

I couldn’t agree more about the relevance, Scruffy. It really couldn’t matter any less. If I’m wrong I will just concede that detail. It doesn’t dilute my original point. Keeps the kids busy, I guess.

I thought you just enjoyed the irony of the situation to be honest.

Once again as much love as I have for ICP / Psy:

1 – The Prince Williams County Sheriff’s department DID NOT have too DIRECTLY reply on ICP’s post about it being cancelled did they? As they are not the body of law enforcement in the county. The Prince Williams County local police are. Sure the police can be shady and liars but I however in this specific case do not think they are doing so.

2 – Many people can’t deal with the fact that Psychopathic lied about it as they have with MANY OTHER THINGS in the past that NEVER came too be? The venue gave the 100% confirmation that they did not book a show. I don’t really understand why they’d have too lie about it. Psy in this case is just throwing excuses out there too cover the lies.

3 – When booking a show a verbal agreements basically means SHIT.

4 – In order to get the date requested a deposit needs to be made regardless if the show was going to be “free” but since they couldn’t do it completely that way it was going to be $1.00. It obviously was not done to ensure the venue would be booked by Psychopathic for this event.

5 – From my research Sam Hunt had that date booked on January 25th which is when Jiffy Lube Live made the announcement of the show.

6 – This brings me too the final point: You DO NOT announce things which are not set in stone 100% only for them too bite you in the ass way ahead of time as in this situation. These days it doesn’t take much too find out any information as proven with this situation regarding the March and concert.  It is causing plenty of confusion for all those who intended on going.

The stunning part is how much drama this non-event caused. The accepted/declined list was a monumentally stupid decision. The whole fiasco is what ultimately put a wedge between PSY and MNE working together. After Twiztid refused to play the march, they dropped all that drama on the Juggalo Show and we all know things will never really be the same again. Over an event that didn’t happen. Due to incompetence. Amazing.

I think what @guest is saying here is worth a re-quote. Ironic really… the “unifying” march has divided many.

At this point we can confirm Psychopathic did lie about the local law enforcement shutting the show down. I thought it was funny how they came out with a totally different excuse the next day. Basically saying ” We reserved it and didn’t plan on booking it till spring time.” Pretty stupid IMO. You gotta get on these things right away. Sam Hunts party jumped to it right away I’m pretty sure the venue owners weren’t gonna wait on Psychopathic because they know Sam Hunt will bring in a crowd.

On the Subject of Twiztid being at the free concert. I vividly remember Boondox, Blaze, Lex Masters and Twiztid being on the accepted list. I was always under the impression that Twiztid also couldn’t get the entire roster to show up to the event. ROC had already declined. I don’t even know if Gorilla Voltage claims juggalo. GMO just doesn’t seem like the dude that would have cared and Young Wicked just got on sour terms. So it makes since for them to decline

Regardless nothing is changing on MNEs stance on the march which I applaud. The question is does anyone see anybody dropping off the actual march and performance? Since the venue is up in the air?
