If living in four different parts of North Carolina has taught me anything, it’s that Southerners are not accepting people. Or hospitable. Fuck the South, forever.

But maybe your area of the South is different. I hope so. NC left a terrible stain on my heart.

That being said, I wont go unless it’s a cheap flight there.

Man OMD shit like this always bums me out but I feel you dude. I feel like I always try to paint NC ina better light because my experience living here was obviously allot different than most other folks apparently. But it always gets shit on. Like, don’t get me wrong we can go back and forth all day talking shit about NC, but ive traveled all over this country and truly found people equally as bad or worse. Im looking at you Jersey lol.

So if I ever get to Gather with you or somthin perhaps youll think slightly better of that place.

I understand and stand by my own observations. 

I went into NC from rural NY with ZERO negative expectations. I can actually say that I wasnt even aware of many southern stereotypes. So everything that led to me making my decisions about how much i hated the majority of people down there came from pure, unbiased experience. 

However… I know from meeting others that the WEST side of NC is home to many more open minded folks. 

I have gone on about this before many times with many in depth stories, but there is a constant state of resentment that burns through most southerners in regards to Yankees, outsiders, minorities and such. There is no denying that. 

I’ve got some very similar racist and sexist stories from rural NY and eastern Colorado and northern Pennsylvania as well. But the fact remains that Eastern Carolina can safely be summed up as a hateful, possibly insane majority. 

Religious folks were worse than anything, though. The Chrisitians, specifically Baptists, were seemingly sent by Satan himself. Pure evil. 

The only thing the black and white people I knew could agree on was their hatred of Mexicans. Pretty unfortunate. 

Anyway, enough of that hate of mine. I was wrong to assume that of New Orleans, Karac. I just bunch up into a fury whenever the South is mentioned. It is not a blind rage, quite justified actually, but it still has the power to temporarily boil me balls. 

My homie from Mississippi that worked with me briefly at the dispensary used to tell me cool stuff about New Orleans. I would definitely visit.
