do everything by vote because he was making dumb moves, and being to generous with the payroll at the time.
I believe the first part of that.
the second part seems very suspicious given how many people are talking about him not paying artists enough on PSY.
“oh, see? it’s not MY fault, it’s theres. and in fact, I’m TOO GENEROUS with my money”
Just seems to come out at a suspicious time, y’know? Unless this update is older than I’m thinking it is. In which case…my bad ya’ll, ignore my dumb ass.

this audio book was recorded one year ago.. however he’s referring to 2001, when they were arguably at their largest/most successful/most paid..

I’m not sure what the original book says, but the audiobook was released last year, he references paying opening acts to much, and jumping the gun on Marz as main points.
I believe this is also around the time, or shortly after when the idea of Twiztid leaving psychopathic first emerged, I remember Monoxide doing his interview about trying to get off coke, and Majik records being a real thing, later on rumors surfaced of subliminal disses in Mirror, Mirror, and The Green Book.
At the time I figured Majik was a joint effort, that ICP wanted Twiztid to break out on there own in order to expand. Remember at the time Majik was promoted as singing new artists, which they have, but It’s crazy to think it was 10 years later they finally made the label, and basically took most the psychopathic roster with em.

Soooo…
“REALLY” this thread should have been titled,
“I Didn’t Buy The Audiobook That Everyone Else That Bought It At The Gathering Have All Managed To Listen To In It’s Entirety By Now And Here’sThe Tiny Part I Am Just Learning About Now“[???]
I don’t get what yer trying to get at here.
The AUDIOBOOK THREAD had many observations as to how many times J went “off script” and the last few chapters he goes WAY off script.
I’m actually RElistening to it this past week as I do work outside. Hadn’t done so since BEFORE “The Cutting of the Cord” and it’s really fucked up to hear J dedicate a chapter to YW “WHo’s in the booth now and adding all that extra freshness you hear in the background…”
It’s also super gringey as FUCK when he talks about and tells a story briefly about Jumpsteady meeting his eventual wife and mother of Samantha; knowing that YW is sitting there in the booth doing the engineering of Violent J’s words and keeping that fuckin’ secret from both! [brrrrrr! ice cold]

Some of us hate audiobooks and/or YW production. I’m a reader. I don’t require sfx and pageantry… in fact, they bother me so much, I’ll stick to the printed word thank you very much. Anyways, good on you for providing what I assume is a helpful link. That advice though! Who would title a thread that? Too long, nerd. You gotta catch their attention with a topic title. That mess you suggested is just murky. Keep trying, my dude. You’ll get it figured out! Thanks for the link.

As much as I diss on Monoxide, I have never delved deep enough to hear about him ever having a cocaine problem.
Thanks for the fuel ;)

Also J is the kinda guy who gets intensely invested in projects, people, or ideas and then once that initial intensity wears off he simply moves on.
Explains these crazy decisions. Explains why there have been so many super interesting projects that never came to fruition.
Maybe they should do the voting thing at Psy again…
