SO I see alot of people bitching about this. I mean its not perfect by no means was it perfect? What about the family song. They schooled it. Did any one ever think they were making fun of trap rappers ? There verse reminds me of radio stars. That’s my opinion though so yeah.

Its not that it was bad exactly.. it’s just in comparison to Ouija it brought the track down. Also, because they have been stepping their game up a bit, people have higher expectations for ICP now. Did you even hear Shaggy’s album? Or J’s verse on foggin up the windows? FIRE.
This contribution just seemed lazy, and I feel it didn’t do Ouija justice.

Upon first listen, i thought my ears started bleeding….i planned on not listening to it again anytime soon.
When my woman came home, i told her that the album is exactly what i thought it would be, trash. She dislikes the current “trap rap” so she wasnt trying to hear any of the songs, but when she asked if icp was on any songs, i had to show her the wackness that is “Diamonds”…and i love the diamonds aspect of the Dark Carnival.
Anyways, both parties at the spook house agree, that song sucks, especially icp’s verse.
this verse still doesnt change the fact that this next jokers card, FFF, is gonna be super fresh!

I don’t know, I was entertained by it. When it’s hard to listen to (J singing) it’s at least funny, and when they’re not singing it’s pretty dope. I didn’t think I’d like the song but it’s really grown on me.

I actually kind of like it. I was didn’t really know what to make of it when I heard it the first time but now that I’ve gone back to it a few times, I dig it. I get why some don’t though. It is pretty ridiculous. I do wish they took their verse a little more “serious” but some of the flows and the Shaggy and J trade-offs are pretty cool really. Plus who doesn’t love the “my chips are stacked high like some Pringles, you are on my sack like, like some wrinkles”? That had me laughing my ass off. But again, some of the lines could have been better if sang/rapped without the goofiness to it.

Drakes excuse is not gonna fix it. I think Pusha got em. That “tick tick tick” bout 40 was my favorite part people saying it was too far forgot about Pac making fun of Prodigy’s sickle cell, or Eminem making fun of Everlast having a heart attack, or most recently Troy Ave “splat” line
And to the topic yes the verse was wack…Only good part was Shaggy’s “do you man” adlib.

Eh, don’t really agree, but that’s fine. I liked parts about their verse, but also some bits I thought sucked. Shaggy going “and OOOOOOHHHHH it was oodles of fun” still makes me cringe. Overall It has kinda grown on me, though. Used to be the only song on that album that I’d skip because of it, but now I’d say it’s a decent enough verse on a dope song.
Come to think of it, the last ICP features on other peoples albums that I REALLY fucked with were on Insane by Prozak and Fuk Wit Me by Project Born. Those are 10 years old, though. So…

if we’re talking about Diamonds I hated it at first but I dig that shit now. Wasn;t what I expected so it was whatever but now i can enjoy the verse and laugh.

Diamonds as a song took some time to grow on me, but its good now. But after a dozen or so listens I think there’s a bit of a mid-album drag that I used to think started with Diamonds. But I like that song now, Ripped Velvet is dope, and Bear Hands is one of the best cuts on the whole disc. That lull is still there, but it really only consists of Astari/ Shreddy Kreuger, and possibly Body Drop (though I do actually like that one now).
When it comes down to it, even the lame singing parts have some lines that are probably gonna become iconic (my chips are stacked like some pringles). Really, I can’t wait for his first tour (i’m not gathering this year, so I won’t see his set there, but I would be shocked if he doesn’t get a tour after shattering most expectations on this release).

Shaggy was on a whole nother level on that song.
The energy they brought to Might go mad is no comparison to that weak sauce on Diamonds.
