What info is everyone basing the Mad Child thing on? The only thing worse than not getting the chance to see that dude would be knowing some of my money went into Big Hoodoos wallet. That dude is the definition of a washed up artist.Washed up? Dude's got one album. That was a quick wash up.
Also, they explained that Madchild was booked to do a Swollen Members show in Australia and can't make it back in time for the first week.
As "Big Hoodoo" he only has one album but "Doe Dubbla" doesn't. That gimmick has been washed up since Papa Shango stopped being significant but that's neither here nor there. Doe Dubbla is washed up as fuck. Overall Psychopathic Records has a pretty solid batting average but they do have a tendency to sign artists that are a bit past their prime. It's possible that Hoodoo really did have a total change of heart, redesign his whole career, and target a whole new fan base coincidentally at a low point in his career but it's much more believable that he's just washed up.
Also, yeah, Mad Child looks straight up fucking goofy. I don't use the word "goofy" a lot but that's the best way I can think of to describe him. He can rap circles around damn near every rapper in the underground though.

Doe Dubbla is on "Welcome To The Slaughterhouse" by Motown Rage
and Psypher 4
His show Sounds of the D is a party

and he may have been more of an MC than a headliner.

That hardly qualifies as washed up though. More like you never gave him a chance because you didn't like his gimmick.
I tried Crystal Scull a couple of times. Considering how good the beats and production are on that album, I really wanted to like it. Some of the concepts on there are pretty solid (Give it Life especially) too. But as far as just rapping goes, he's a total wash, man. His style (delivery, rhymes, and structuring) is way simple. Look up "Born Raised" and compare it to now. His gimmick is annoying but not enough for me to dismiss him on it, that's some ignorant shit. There's a chance that his next album will make me shut up and he'll reach peak performance again but for now the dude seemed washed up as fuck to me.

Well comparatively the real set list fucking sucks, huh? I mean, they're playing Chicken Huntin' earlier in the show instead of the middle so that's new. Yeah, that review was great. It's nice to know there's still some people that can look at it from the outside in and actually get it.
Yes it is..very nice for a change.Wish more people would "get it" but ignorance is bliss...
