The Amazing Jeckel Brothers is the fifth studio album by American hip hop group Insane Clown Posse, released on May 25, 1999, by Island Records, in association with Psychopathic Records. Recording sessions for the album took place from 1998 to 1999. The album is the fifth Joker’s Card in the group’s Dark Carnival mythology. The album’s lyrics focus on the 9 circles of hell, and the morality of man as he is torn between righteousness and evil, describing the Jeckel Brothers as spirits who juggle fire balls, representing the sins committed during the mortal life of the dead. For your fate of the light or darkness.
The Amazing Jeckel Brothers was the second studio album Insane Clown Posse released by Island, and features a more hip hop-based sound, as opposed to the rock-oriented sound of its predecessor, The Great Milenko (1997). The Amazing Jeckel Brothers features guest appearances by rappers Ol’ Dirty Bastard and Snoop Dogg, and additional contributions by The Jerky Boys and Twiztid. It debuted at number four on the Billboard charts and was later certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

I was 15 years old when this dropped. mad fresh. and a new look to go with it. plus having ODB, Snoop, Jerky Boys..
also, the Mad Professor sampler had the Unedited version of Terrible on it, just a snippet of the song, but still.

Man, it feels like just yesterday when this was dropping, now I got a kid who is 8, pretty much married and I own my own house. Back then being a teenager just worrying about when the next clown show was going down, those days were really fresh, but there were also a lot of bandwagon fans from milenko to tempest imo. I also consider this their last really dark jokers card, both the wraiths were my least favorite of the 1st deck and hells pit didn’t come close to being their darkest ever. On a side note, the amazing jeckel brothers tour was where the whole beef with Ozzy’s bitch started after they kicked coal chamber off the tour.

I’m 30 so yup must a been about 15 or so. Shit I hadn’t even dropped out of high school yet (don’t worry, I’m a college grad now).
That Mad Professor single was the shit. That’s still one of my favorite tracks off the album. Honestly AJB is probably my least favorite card, can’t quite explain why. But it has the biggest, cleanest production sound to me of them all.
When my brother came over with one of his babies mothers, I was tripping good off DXM. He didn’t say a thing, just popped the brand new AJB CD into my CD player. His babies mother looked and me and said “why your eyes big like you been smokin some crack?” Hahaha if she only knew.
