On some drunken nonsense I was talking with some homies and we got into a discussion about the two differences. Quite honestly the two are notably different. As we were discussing the differences between the two words. We came to the idea that the word Juggalo is exactly as the FBI classified as a gang. I'm drunk as of right now. But do y'all think there's a difference between the two?

Not exactly. A juggalo is an ICP fan who doesn't hate people based on superficial things. That's how I define it. To be a juggalo you like juggalo music and you aren't a racist. So to be an ICP fan but not a juggalo I'd say that you'd have to be a racist ICP fan. An anti racist ICP fan who doesn't claim to be a juggalo is in denial in my book. Maybe there could be a little more added to the moral code book, but I think it's a very simple and short moral code book to be a juggalo. But the only two things that I'm for sure about is that to be a juggalo you must be an ICP fan and you must not be racist.

This is the way I see it. My buddy roach used to be hardcore juggalo. He lived that shit, and listened to it all the time. Now he won't buy any of their new records. He still bumps the old shit occasionally and will go to shows with me, but he is through with the movement. He has said himself that he doesn't consider himself a juggalo anymore. He is still a fan though. Besides that I agree with lucem

i partly agree with lucem cuz i would consider a racist dude just a fan & not a juggalo but imo you kinda have to know whats up to be a juggalo in this day & age.. like at least know the basics.. & i feel someone can just be a fan of a psy act & not consider themselves juggalo... cpn said it best when he said you can like everyone on psy but if you just dont like any icp songs or only a few & for the most part are like "this shit sucks" then your mind-state is not juggalo!

I don't consider myself a juggalo...never been to a concert, no psy clothing or tattoos of any kind. Just a fan of the music.

Being a Juggalo is more then music, it's a lifestyle....a listener is not exactly a Juggalo, but a non-listener can be a Juggalo and not even know it...is it that hard to understand???? Really???

why does a juggalo have to like icp? bosh, i've meet a deaf juggalo. VJ himself says a juggalo does not necessarily like icp so why add that? trying to define a juggalo is a lost cause. there are no qualifiers.

i dont give a fuck what J says haha in the 90s you couldnt say "i dont like icp but im a juggalo" its the fuckin family era that brought muthafuckas into thinkin their down when they really arent.. & even if someone doesnt buy icps shit theyre still lining his pockets by supporting the other artist on the label so of course he'd say that...

these are not the 90's. i believe that juggalos are born not made. so, following that logic, if you are born a juggalo then what are you before you hear icp? what if you never hear icp? a:  you are still juggalo. it has nothing to do with music, it is a lifestyle.

How many people and just think this to yourself has a friend who sells drugs, one who robs, one who jumps people, one who calls that group a specific name and one who holds guns? I know i've met a quite a few, at shows and parties. The racist thing is bullshit as everybody is a tad racist.

To me it's kind of a lifestyle. I may of been born a juggalo, my face wasn't painted or anything but ya know. School was tough for me, people were shitty, I went through a bad time, I got into listening to ICP and Korn and all. I wasn't apart of the cool kids crowd in school. I don't think you gotta be a fan of ICP to be a juggalo, it's just the lifestyle that you're in or you're not.

A lifestyle typically reflects an individual's attitudes, values or world view. Therefore, a lifestyle is a means of forging a sense of self and to create cultural symbols that resonate with personal identity. Not all aspects of a lifestyle are voluntary. Surrounding social and technical systems can constrain the lifestyle choices available to the individual and the symbols she/he is able to project to others and the self. I'm not really seeing a culture or subculture but just a fan base.

Clearly there is a difference.I started listening to ICP in 98 I think and I enjoyed the music but wasn't a Juggalo yet.Was in 2001 or 2002 when I began to feel the magic of the music and it started speaking to me.It definitely is a mind set not just liking ICP.I have friends that like ICP and go to shows with me but they don't call themselves Juggalos.Met some dude yesterday that saw my Twiztid shirt and he likes Lotus and Twizitd and ICP but hes not a Juggalo.I dont think people are born a juggalo it something that takes time to understand.Thats why that kid on tosh.0 sounds like a dumb ass cuz he dosent get it yet.

well its different nowadays, when the label was strong and had a full roster with ICP, Twiztid, blaze, abk...being a juggalo meant u were a fan of the groups and they were your first choice of music. you didnt have to listen to them only...but they were your main music before other stuff....

but now with twiztid gone, ICP being iffy and the rest of the roster being wack....its hard to be a juggalo for me....im just a fan....

people got carried away with the "lifestyle" thing i never understood it...i got into the label in '99 and only bought a couple shirts, never painted my face...but these new FAMILY era juggalos jump right into it with tattoos, twiztid hairstyle, too much merch and whoop whoops and i been a fan for 12 years and all that extra stuff doesnt mean youre a bigger fan.

in the 90s and early 2000s it was fun being a juggalo cuz they were under the radar and made some hardcore music while TRL was popular. if you had taste in metal or hard rock, ICP was an easy transition, twiztid got more hip hop kids into it....it was just a fun scene of MUSIC, now its too much lifestyle based lol. its hard to stand behind them and dedicate everything to a label that isnt delivering like it used to, right when i got into PSY everyone was hating on bizzar bizzar, i liked it, i loved freekshow and all the old albums...

i noticed people dealing with lack luster product cuz of juggalo pride and believing in the old catalog. when hells pit was really a let down we still had the wraith that was only a year old, then it turned to the calm, FF4, it just kept getting worse and it was turning into us defending them cuz they still made good stuff recently and as years keep goin by the music isnt good anymore, the roster isnt the same,

idk wat a juggalo is nowadays. i liked PSY for being animated and not like other rappers, it was fun and u had to have an open mind and a taste of the darkside

alot of the music was themed and leading up to the mystery of the 6th...now its all said and done, icp lost direction and its all just about the gathering and juggalo anthems lol...its cool kids are still into them, i got plenty of music from the old icp all the way to the wraith to last me a lifetime, i grew up with it and i will always like it.

...Music was huge in the early 2000s the industry has never ever sold that many records ever in the history of music....people sold 12 million like nothing, ICP has and still sells the same 60,000 its just the mainstream cant do more than 75,000 so now the charts are different so u see tech, kmk, icp, twiztid in the TOP 40!! thats crazy...10 years ago we barely hit the top 200 lol...

tech n9ne's ego kindda irritates me cuz if people were still selling millions all his glory he gets for charting and tours would have him exactly where PSY was in 2001, selling 60,000 and getting no credit, but having a large enough base to tour without label support.

juggalos dont get credit for making message boards popular, juggalo sites got the internet booming back in the day. we had the most sites right next to porn lol...there were so many sites it was nuts!!!! now everyone has a message board and does all the stuff we used to do, like have rumors and news, interviews...alot of hip hop sites took our format. wwf, porno and icp had so many sites back in the day lol....
