It has always blown my mind why any entertainer would charge people money to meet them or take pictures or sign some shit. That is called "fan service". I have been in the pro-wrestling and music business for 17 and a half years (I've even worked for Psychopathic/JCW a couple times), and I never once asked any of my fans or patrons of the events for money for a photo or an autograph...let alone to "meet me" for Christ's sake... The way I see it, they already bought a ticket to the show to support me, so why would I tax them any more than that? If they want to buy some merch, that's wonderful. But to tax people for fan service is not only greedy and whack as fuck, but it is disrespectful to the fans who've already paid your bills. I've been rushed in the streets by groups of people asking for pictures and autographs and I always just appreciated the fact that I even have fans. Especially overseas.
I understand where you're coming from, but, disagree. I'm a musician myself and had a band with a decent following a while back. I would have thought it crazy to charge people extra to meet me, get a picture, etc. But, I also wasn't at ICP's level, not even close. It would not be feasible for them to just walk through the crowd or whatever and spend any real time with anybody. Just a clusterfuck of 500'ish Juggalos. So if people are willing to pay extra to actually meet them in an organized setting like a VIP experience, I see no harm there. I can't imagine touring the country and just letting hundreds of Juggalos have a free for all every night trying meet you and get a picture and talk to you.
I've never done a VIP thing, and I've only ever been to 2 ICP shows in my life and those were like 15 years apart (most recent was a year ago on the Riddlebox tour). I am going to their Christmas show in Nashville, was kind of bummed to see no VIP option so far since I really wanted to go for it this time.

I don't give a fuck about autographs. For me personally, the reason I was disappointed they don't appear to have VIP available for the Christmas show is I just wanted to meet the guys and give them props. Been listening to them for about 19 years now and it would be a cool experience for me. I wouldn't do it multiple times, I'd do it once and then enjoy the show.

Is an autograph from icp worth 100 outside of a meat and great?
I didn't even get autographs when i did it. Like i probably shoulda had something for them to sign but thats like whatever. Meeting them was the shit.
I met them at gotj and it was free. J talked with me about trying to lose weight. Shit was real. But that first time was special and well worth the cash.

Yeah, autographs don't mean much to me, I just wanted to thank them personally and stuff like that. A picture is worth more than a signature you can get on anything and everything.
Too bad I suck at conversing because it would be cool to have something more personal like that to take away from a VIP experience.

I dont really know how to think about a MeetnGreet. They obviously arent capable of meeting everyone, so giving an opportunity to meet them fpr those, who really really wanna do that seems legit to me. The fee is for selection, so to speak. Who's willing to pay hundred bucks to meet them should be given the chance, I guess. Plus, for those who cant afford that, there are still (plenty?) opportunities to run into them as I experienced in the UK.
But, me, I wont ever do a MeetnGreet. because if I did - I wouldnt be able to get rid of the feeling that the only reason they are nice to me is the money I paid for it. See, If I accidentally ran into them and the chance was given to have a word with em, I would think they're honest whatever they choose to behave around me.
And even when they are, genuinely, because the want to, the nicest people to me at a Meet and Greet, I still would have a slight doub. because paying for it is like paying a service fee. Maybe it's just me, but because of that I wouldnt be able to enjoy it, I guess.

Those bashing it seem bitter, I wanted to meet my heroes, there was an opportunity, my job doesn't pay that great but saving $100 over 2 months really was not that difficult, and it was worth every penny.

People that think vip is for autographs are doing it wrong. It's the experience of meeting ICP, and faygo Armageddon that makes it worth it, and they give you $40-$50 in merch w/ vip
Yeah i know we can put a value on a VIP experience and a mans/crews time but my rhetorical question still stands.
I think its cool profitable option they give their fans.

Lets say the average amount of people going is like ten ppl.
If they split all that with like min 4 people before taxes, expenses and probably a good cunck of it gos back into psy each person comes out with roughly 250. I would bet on less.
125 an hour. Not bad. Not great if ur onky working two hours

I made the mistake of paying $200 bucks for the meet and greet in J's morbidly obese days.
What a mistake.
He had crew members constantly checking his blood pressure and giving him insulin shots and shit. It was very distracting as I attempted to pour my heart out about how the Dark Carnival changed my life.
He replied in short winded grunts threw the clear oxygen mask he was wearing, tubes running to Oxygen tanks clangin' around and shit.
Another random crew member leaned in with his ear by J's mask and interpreted for him, feeding me some bullshit like, "Ah yes, Oh Ok, Ill let him know. Joe said he appreciates your support for so many years of the ICP. He would also like to know if you could sign this form."
I was like wtf?
Then the dude continued with, "Its a standard consent form to have our residence juggalo doctor test you to see if you would be a match for the kidney Joe needs."
I was peeved at this point and just demanded my autograph and pic. The rollaround mattress he was propped up on didn't budge. So the crew member forged his autographed on the back of the stock photo they handed me.

Shit was mad sketchy yo.
