Honestly, I don’t think HOK or Twiztid are all that important to the “legacy of detroit”, as it were, in the way that ICP and Esham are.

Twiztid was not instrumental in forming the genre, but they are one of the few who were around during that era and are still relevant today.  They were in the same boat as Eminem in that it was well established by the time their name got out there in a significant way.  I can see them not being included in this because they are not as big of a name, but I do think they deserved an honorable mention.

I’m looking forward to seeing this Documentary…

obviously for the Esham & ICP parts… but Champtown is an interesting dude… his “Fuck Proof” EP was fucking Hilariously awesome!

back in the day… I used to Listen to AWOL (from DETROIT’S MOST WANTED)  that dudes music was fucking insanely dope

Awesome Dre is dope, obviously ya got M.C. Breed who was kind of Detroit based… I mean not really, FLINT town! but yeah… I have a bunch of M.C. Breed’s stuff

Dayton Family! ahhh man! hell yeah… anyway I’m getting carried away…

my favorite Detroit Rapper though… TNT! man it’s such a crazy / depressing feeling / thing to think about his death… sorry I brought It up, I just Love NATAS so much, it felt like my whole world shattered and crumbled hearing about his death, I was hella looking forward to “suicide bomber”, thankful I saw Esham and TNT at the Gathering in 2004… that was Awesome and I have footage of it, one day, i’ll post that shit up on the internet… but for now, I’m too drunk haha
