So. King Krimzon on Dr. Phil.
I won’t pretend to know dick about that guy, but judging from social media he seems like another paint-by-numbers horrorcore guy, and is regarded by his peers (that is, other, arguably more successful) underground/Juggalo rappers as being the ultimate cringelord. They’re circulating pictures of dude in makeup, with more than one report of guy being a ripoff artist emerging.
This isn’t a hit piece on the guy- like I said, I don’t know him- I’m just using this upfront information to frame the discussion here. And that is, what I feel like this Dr. Phillip episode represents in the grand scheme of things.
The hallmark of daytime talk TV is and always has been trash. Selling a caricature of the underclass to bored state at-home suburbanites, embellished with just enough ignorance and skewed perspective to give the viewer an artificial sense of superiority, thus making them feel better about their own drab existence. Dr. Phil and his mom Oprah are particularly incentivized by this after creating the Cassh Me Outside Meme Girl last year- that’s the kind of PR money can’t by. So it would stand to reason that they would plumb the depths, looking for the goofiest, cringiest turds to burgle in the hopes that lightning will strike twice with another meme-worthy jackass.
The thing is, should this come to pass, and it truly is a viral cringefest, this is the new public face for Juggalos going in to 2018. Magnets all over again. It’s not like this is anything new, really, and maybe I’m wrong…Even if I’m not, doesn’t really change anything. If not this it’ll be the next dumb jackass thing to be the new umbrella they huddle us under. Hopefully ICP does this guy (and us) an honest service and let him know that he sucks, if he does. I just got a funny feeling about this one, and want the boastful satisfaction of saying I’m right.

…The nicest thing I can say is its vaguely reminiscent of how Scum sounded in ’05. It’s like every other artist on a Devilz Nite collab album that you forgot about. It’s the kind of thing you think is good until you realize that you’re just really drunk and you’re friends with this guy on MySpace. This is exactly what I mean when I say paint-by-numbers horrorcore.

Oh yeah, it’s garbaggio. The soundcloud beat isn’t helping, either.
At least with Scum, it sounded like he was rapping back them. Basic “i’ma kill u” bars, but it didn’t have that rhythm that Dr. Seuss books force you to read with whether you a rapper or not.

I think kreeper is spot on. That being said, I think ICP’s reaction will be important to how the public perceives them and Juggalos as a whole. Hopefully with ICP turning more positive with the march and what not they realized how this can actually be some great free PR if they played their cards right.

I don’t think people need to worry about this dude becoming a viral meme and catching fame off being a complete retard. That shit only applies to hot young pussy that dudes want to bang out while their wives are at work. Especially hot young pussy that’s attached to a bitch who’s seemingly so stupid they might actually have a chance of pulling it off. That fantasy, coupled with her trendy ”overly urban” act she put on and a slight wit in her comebacks gave that Danielle bitch a universal appeal, not to mention she knew how to make her 15 minutes of fame work for her.
This dude has no universal appeal and he looks like a middle-aged tranny version of Razakel.
He has no sex appeal, no relatability factor, no humor, no talent ( this dude couldn’t flow on a beat if you auto-tuned him), and I’m willing to bet no foresight to turn any shred of buzz he catches off this into anything worthwhile for himself.
The most he’ll get out of this is a spike view count for a couple of weeks.
The only thing this is going to do is give Juggalos and the horrorcore scene in general bad PR, and, possibly, give ICP a little good PR.
I’ll tell you this, if they went on there and tried to take some moral high ground on this dude for their own mainstream appeal, after all we know about their own come up, I will lose a lot of respect for ICP.

Its pandemic among horrorcore rappers. Lucem at the very least has the self-awareness to know where the scene is centralized, and thus comes down here and hangs out with us. Nothing worse than an entry-level horrorcore rapper showing up on the scene saying,

Jokerr did that for the longest time. He was even a rapping clown wearing facepaint. The 2 main things with Jokerr is that his music isn’t shitty and he has since acknowledged that he does still identify as a juggalo.
SKR tried to pull that shit, too. It’s not horrorcore, it’s “occult rap” that has nothing to do with it. Then they got some attention from ICP in 2015 and 2016 and started dropping “MMFWCL”s and “whoop whoops” all over their facebook. A lot of artists don’t want to be compared to it, but will accept it if it’s convenient at that time.

Yeah, you’re picking up what I’m putting down. It was those two I was referencimg exactly. It was even more asinine when SKR did it, since their history as ex-Juggalos was well known. I don’t give a shit about you not wanting to call yourself Juggalos anymore, but doing the most basic bitch rebranding and trying to sell it back to Juggalos as something entirely different was insulting to my intelligence to say the least.
At least Gordy recognized that we’re 80 percent of the market. I don’t even mean that as some hoighty braggadocio bullshit, I just want to point out that he’s a talented rapper with an honest outlook on who his audience is without letting his ego cloud that fact.

ICP are one of those bands where you either hate them or love them, same with Juggalos and our culture. Never been respected, don’t let all those “Mainstream” artist at the gatherings fool you. Its a money thing. They just look at ICP’s fans as potential sales and try to tap in to it. Its a business at the end of the day. Point being, this guy nor Dr.Phil will change these peoples all ready made up minds about us.
