In my opinion last year’s hallowicked was a total disappointment. I mean they did one Halloween track and that was it, didn’t even really do any special stage props or anything. I had a talk with jumpsteady at the gathering about how much better I thought it could have been if they had just done a few things differently. I told him when we go to hallowicked you wanna see something special, unique not just the same show you normally see on Halloween night. I was like they have all these Halloween tracks that could’ve been added to the set list but instead they played the same songs we’ve all see them preform live 100 other times. Why not do some of those other songs and really do it up? He seemed to really get what I was saying and said ” he’d bring it up”, hopefully he didn’t forget.

I’d be pissed too. The last Hallowicked I’ve been to was ’05 in the D and that one was EPIC! Jamie and Paul came out rappin’ as Batman and Robin, they had those big fake fire things they had during the Hell’s Pit tour, all sorts of crazy shit. Did all the classic Hallowicked tracks. Black and orange balloons fell from the rafters at the end, sheer and utter pandemonium.
I haven’t been to anything new lately. Last time I seen ICP was the BPB tour 2011, and before that shiiiiiiit I think the Tempest Tour.
I hope Rob really does bring that up during their meetings. Glad you said that to him homie!

SPOOKYtheFUNGISince they’re currently touring the Riddle Box, I’m sure it’ll be a completely different set. Hell, they may even play the Gathering set, or whatever they did in Canada. To be a completely Hallowicked-esque set though would be the fuckin bomb! (Do people say that anymore?) I hope they do something special, but I’ll be there in the D regardless!

Yeah I agree 100%, I’ve been to 2 hallowickeds and was disappointed in 2009, although I did enjoy 2010. But unfortunately for whatever reason other than dead pumpkins, they don’t really add any halloween themed songs to their set lists most of the time, I don’t understand why.
It’d be so easy to add 3-4 previous halloween, and maybe 2-3 other wicked songs that they rarely play. For the most part the only thing special about it is seeing ICP in Detroit on halloween night. With that said it’s still a real fun experience and I thought of going this year, but not gonna end up making it. It’s still a real fun time, but ICP could definitely make the set list way better if you ask me, I don’t wanna hear songs that we hear on every tour like homies, lets go all the way, chicken huntin, halls of illusions, etc..Hallowicked should be wicked songs, maybe even more rare songs since it’s more of the diehard juggalos that are there.

I’ve been to about 12 Hallowickeds and I can tell you this, when Hallowicked is apart of another regular tour you usually get almost the exact same show as the rest of the tour, only difference being they open with Dead Pumpkins (except for a couple years ago for the 20th anniversary, they changed up more for that one). This has been the case more often than not. That said, I’ve opted to skip it this year and instead head down to Columbus on the 30th because 1) I haven’t seen the Riddlebox show yet and 2) Hallowicked’s taking place in Harpo’s this year and I pretty much vowed not to step foot in that place ever again after last year’s Juggalo Day. If you haven’t been there, the place is absolutely disgusting. It makes the porta-jons at the Gathering look like royal bathrooms.

I was actually thinking the same thing concerning the riddlebox tour, either way I will see you all there and at fright fest the night before.

Yep, I remember going to Hallowicked 98 there and it was already a dump back then but now it’s ten times worse. Only reason I can think of for them playing there is it’s cheap. That or they had a falling out with the people at the Fillmore.

I’ll be at hallowicked this year. My 2nd one. I’m doing Columbus riddle box on the 30th, then hallowicked the next day. It’s been a long time since I could afford to travel for shows, so I’m fucking pumped. DuI fines, truck repairs and shit held me back. But I’m good to go now, and I can’t wait. The after parties at hotels are alwaya fun as fuck. Even if the show sucks.
Last hallowicked I was at was like 3 or 4 years ago. J was fat as fuck and didnt move much. But he’s slimmed down now. And at the gathering he was moving all around giving a great show. I trust my clowns will come through with a dope hallowicked

i love Hallowicked. Its always a blast and always enjoy the show as well….I agree it would be cool if they did like a set of only hallowicked tracks or like extremely dark joints like amys in the attic. Harpos is a shithoel and i def would have preferred it to be at the fillmore but what can ya do.

When I went to the Fillmore last year for Hallowicked the balcony was damn near empty,,,,this could be a reason why they moved the show to Harpos…the juggalo day show was live as hell and you can pretty much do what you want in that place and i think that’s what attracting juggalos to this venue(i’ve heard of chicks getting trains ran on them in the bathroom in a wide open space and nobody cared)….but there are downsides to this venue(and it’s one of my favorite venues at that) prepare to get schooled on harpos:
1) as many have pointed out, it’s a piece of shit dive venue that has all kinds of health code violations,,,the venue is only able to fit around 1500 people; however, when an event there is selling(which hardly ever happens anymore) they will sell 2000+ tickets and everyone in their is sqweezed together like a can of sardines…this was one of the things that I hated about juggalo day as much as I enjoyed it.
2) it has a very bad reputation in Detroit…bands used to play there EVERY WEEKEND back in the day,,even as recent as five years ago. Local radio stations would post up there ALL THE TIME…but for whatever reason, bands stopped playing there and WRIF and 89X stopped supporting and promoting that venue. WRIF hasn’t been there IN almost a decade and 89X pops up once ever two years or so.
3) it’s on the east side of Detroit….the worst of the worst, and even, though it was cool for a juggalo day show in february, bottom line YOU NEVER GO TO THE EAST SIDE ON DEVILS NIGHT OR HALLOWEEN!! Everyone in metro detroit knows that, so juggalo attending this venue in HALLOWEEN…you will be fine in the venue. But plan on your windows getting smashed out in your car or get straighted jacked while your in the show THIS IS VERY LITTLE PARKING SPACE AND YOU WILL HAVE TO PARK FAR FROM THE VENUE AND NO SECURITY CAN PREVENT THAT!!
4) HARPO’S WILL EVENTUALLY CLOSE!! They have been on the brink of closing for three years now,,,they only have one show a month and sometimes will go two months without a show, and when they book the show as there it’s usually repeat bands that like the venue or rap acts that as talented as they are could NO WHERE NEAR turn a profit at the venue (jarren benton played last month and the attendance was terrible, last year jellyroll played and it was damn near empty). Have you ever wondered why when a act comes through there that doesn’t sell there’s 100 opening bands?? That’s why
5) leading into last point, harpos will not be a NEW HALLOWICKED venue for ICP,, it will either close or something very negative will happen on Hallowicked that would force them to not play there anymore. Mark my words, this Hallowicked will be fun but something negative will happen, cars getting broken too, fights outside the venue, maybe even someone getting killed(it has happened there many times). The only other two venues big enough for a Hallowicked show in detroit is the royal oak music theatre and the Fillmore(and possibly Comuware Arena in Plymouth if they are still open).

I’m pretty sure the clowns are banned from royal oak theater. Even though it’s small I’d like to see them do multiple nights at st. Andrew’s. Always been my favorite Detroit venue.
