I liked this song instantly. It was time for a little bit of that slow-jam, acoustic-sampled “Homies” kind of shit again.
Things I think right now:
– this song is very balanced and solid
– Blahzay is perfecting her voice a bit. I like it.
– Hoodoo’s verse and voice make the track sound like some old school Dove Shack with the chorus. Some slow Geto Boys.
– I like ABK, most always nice to hear his voice.
– DJ Clay came correct. I kinda missed him a bit too, somehow.
– That new kid, Lyte, was very, very solid. An interesting addition, for sure.
– The chorus was weird at first, replacing an old Motown classic with “Shinier”… but it’s okay, overall.
– reminds me of “Under the Bridge” by RHCP, some Devin the Dude, Dove Shack, Geto Boys (Scarface in particular).
– J threw in some weird beat change-ups, jarring but cool.
I really liked it. My first listen. What do you all think?

I agree…
It’s coo. At first I was like, what the fuck! But… I’m optimistic.
Also still not sure how I feel about lyte.

He will need fine-tuning, like Blahzay or anyone else on the label’s history. Some will last, others won’t.
As far as a first impression, my brain didn’t lash out with resistance like some other artists I’ve heard. We will wait and see.

I liked it.Honestly Lyte is probably the most talented lyricist on PSY now. He really is a great freestyle rapper but when you give him a pad and a pen he can shine.
I do not like his voice though, but that is small peanuts if he brings fire.
he’s pretty damn good. Not bad in this freestyle, either:
So he is sort of affiliated with Bonez Dubb from the past, so he must be someone in the AMB’s Denver crew that Psy took notice of for backup. I get that.
He reminds me of that dude from Potluck a bit… and Marshall Mathers… members of Bone Thugs… so far, so good. Let’s see some originality, though. Hope it comes soon. Make your mark, kid.

I am very worried about his ability to break away from his “typical white rapper” blueprint.
He definitely needs to differentiate himself. You can have all the skills in the world but if you are not entertaining it doesn’t matter.
Take sewerside for example. First time I saw his picture I thought he looked average then I got to his songs on that free download he posted here.
Shit is great. Rapping about retro gaming and shit? Lol, loved it.
( Don’t tell him that though. I am still mad at him for taking advantage of my grandmas goat. That animal was my grandma’s favorite lawnmower and now all it does is leak it’s anus all over the yard)
Hey new song idea! “Anal goat seepage “

The homie CellE mentioned how ICP turned a mediocre hypeman into Blaze, Ya Dead Homie. That’s quite a feat. Love him or not, Blaze definitely has come into his own. He has a unique voice, flow, and vibe. His gimmick is pretty cool, overall, IMO.

Plus he gets to buttrape The R. O. C every night. That is pretty cool too.Wonder with that deep voice if he sings Barry White songs into his ear as he vadalizes his backside with necrophiliac juice.
Speaking of The ROC lol… he declined.. and typed some stuff but never really explained why.

He didn’t have a problem standing out when I saw him a few months back. There’s definitely potential there but I feel ya about the white rapper thing. It has me a little worried. Like, they’re just gonna let him be a chopper and that’s it. Token chopper and shit. Hopefully J takes him under his wing and gives him the same attention that he gave Otis.
Anyone else get a J vibe from Blazey’s verse? Not sayin he wrote it but it sure sounded “inspired” to me. Coincidentally, it’s the only almost competent thing I’ve heard from her.
Overall the track felt a little rushed to me. Hoodoo and Lyte were the only ones that stood out, everyone else seemed like they wrote a quick 16 (or 8) in studio the day of just so they could get it done and overwith. Even with that, it was cool to hear the new roster all on one track together. It was a roll call of what the label is going to be for an undetermined amount of time.
As others have mentioned, a Hurricane of Diamonds sounds very dangerous, guys. I don’t want to be near that. Slight, Warm Breeze of Diamonds perhaps but even then, I’d like to have some sort of protection.

People have said the same thing about everything she has written. She sounds like J because she’s a juggalo who has looked up to him for a long time. Of course she is gonna sound “inspired” by him. She is.

Other than subject matter (which, every single wicked shit artist is also guilty of) I had never heard it before. Listen to The Loons and then listen to her verse again.
