I honestly don't give a fuck how good an artist grew up (though it does make them sort of fake) because it's the music that really matters.

how does that make em fake theyve never claimed to be from the hood or gang related

It's redrum where I'm from
come get some,
from the sick ones,
broke-ass millionaires and rich bums.

Saying that they are from the hood but making a lot of money.

And I ain't afraid to put a red dot on yo head and drop a clip, talkin' shit
Stacks to watch ride off in yo griss
Grid lock when you get caught in that blood and crip walk shit, biatch!

Sounds gang related to me.

damn your comprehension skills are awful yo haha its "snatch the watch right off of ya wrist" not "Stacks to watch ride off in yo griss" looool which just proves my point yo but to further break it down the "broke-ass millionaires and rich bums." is referring to people in denver theyre describing their area cuz i doubt amb have ever made a quarter of a mill let alone a full mill & how does that make you think "hood"?? "blood and crip walk shit" is just sayin you could get fucked up for doing either or. its more of an ode to the city/area they come from i highly doubt theyre describing "their hood" although the vid might come across differently cuz thats usually the point of music vids to add a different perspective to the song

I honestly copy and pasted the lyrics, didn't listen and decipher.

When I hear broke ass millionaires and rich bums to me it sounded like they were trying to say that they were hood rich.

The Blood and Crip walk line could be taken as they run the town, but the "read dot on you head and drop a clip" line definitely says something about them being thugs.

I guess really the Music Vid for that song portrays them as gang members. I guess I can't really say they actually have said they are from the hood and part of a gang.

It wasn't just the bandanas, the whole music video just seemed like it presented juggalos as a gang.

It had so much juggalo merchandise and somebody getting a hatchet house tattoo. Red rags everywhere. The whole video just screams "juggalos are a gang".

Yes, yes I do. You have to realize that there are people that don't know what the signs mean and gang members are known to throw up hand signals like they did in the video. Walking around an area with a bunch of dudes dressed in red holding up red rags and that one dude holding up a hatchetman jersey. Much of the video displaying esoteric symbols that the general public doesn't understand. The people holding up dubs, which they might not know represents "westside" and even if they do it could be taken as them representing said territory. On top of all that, it's not like they are portraying themselves as a bunch of friendly neighbors trying to better their community. You ever see the photos that gang members take on gang lands? A lot of the shots from the music video are extremely similar to those photos. You also have to remember that the general public doesn't like to take the time to understand things, and a lot of people already think we are gang members so how can you deny that they might get that idea from this video.

no ive never watched that shit & the word juggalo is only said once in a verse i bet i could show this vid to a hundred friends of mine & only the people who catch that word or recognize the hatchetman will think its juggalo related

I have always thought that AMB were a younger version of ICP cuz ICP cant do this forever. Ive seen nothing but creativity from AMB even b4 they were on PSY when they were doing that AXE recordings stuff. They have always had it since back then and they continue to show it. And as for them being jerks I met Bonez in San Antonio at the Underground Summer Jam tour and we talked for like 10 or 15 minutes about The Garcia brothers and some fam type stuff. Told him he should drop some spanish flows on a song and he said that he knew a lil from what his grandpa tought him b4 he died. Them dudes are cool dudes besides that theyre RAZA and represent. They put on a great show and put out sweet music im always gon b down with them.

The Garcia Brothers is supposed to drop in Dec. so real soon.

otis could rip any of these horror core cats anyday listen to Wicked Wild Boy.

My point is that it shouldn't matter if they are gang members or not. Jimmy Buffet has lyrics about drug smuggling in songs "maragritville" his most famous song talks about it, there are hells Angels and other outlaw biker "parrot heads" but you don't see the Feds saying parrot heads are a gang.

Monoxide fought at the gathering? What happened

Thats crazy, didnt hear about that. Its kinda BS too. If 2 people wanna fight each other then let them do their thing. No need to interfere unless one person is kicking the shit out of the other and your like "ok thats enough" ya know...

I watched AMB try to play the "our voices suck because we were screaming for Dark Lotus last night just like the rest of you" during their UGP contest performance as well. The only thing fresh about them there was their jerseys, and that was not getting my vote. PLC just didn't fit at all which is why their whole momentum after (with whatever label they tried to make) flopped. The lyrical ability of AMB when they first came out was garbage and was no grade higher than the scratchy frog throat horrorcore kids you can find on myspace, facebook, reverbnation, etc. Naturally, I went to see how they were outside of their music, and again in the beginning, it was a bunch of "Better not bring your girl to one of our shows or we'll fuck her", "I'm fuckin your girl and lovin it" etc etc which is just arrogant played out adolescent egotistical bullshit boasting which is not at all impressive.

The first thing I liked from them was their feature on ABK's album, and "Redrum Where I'm From" I enjoy only because of the beat, but as time went on I could see the one (dont know which is which, the one who always has to wear sunglasses talkin about fuckin everybody) tried to keep that persona up while the other (I think Otis?) actually matured, became a respectable emcee, and has continued to release music with amazing content and lyrical prowess. Whatever song it was he released as a single on Psy Radio during Valentines Day was the bomb, and since then I try to pay more attention to what he releases, but unless the other one drops the fake image, together they will fall. Portray yourself as whatever, but if you wanna get somewhere with it, don't sell yourself short like that.

And when they played Philly (think it was at Electric Factory or maybe Theater of Living Arts) when that shit happened, but wasn't it not provoked by a shitty comment one of them made into the mic about people not paying attention to them on stage? Thats how I recall it when I was there, unless that was a different show?

Out of curiosity, how many people on this thread are in the general surrounding area of Philly (NY/NJ/CT)???
