Maybe saying like a god is a little over exaggeration, but you have gone juggalo jihad over other people’s criticisms of him (which was you bitching about other people bitching the same thing you are bitching about us doing) and you have written up little sentimental sob stories on how Violent J means a lot to you.

And you are complaining over them not bending over backwards to comply to your wants despite them bending over backwards for a much bigger demand.

You know what, ICP are some of the only artists out there that actually put this much effort into making something special for their fans, maybe the fans should do something special for them, like pay $100 just to get the EP. Plus, why don’t you sell the boxset?

Shit should have been 60 bucks tops.Same type shit happened at the SLAINE show I hit a few weeks back.I wanted to support the artist, and then at the merch booth he is asking 20 bucks for a cd, and 40 bucks for a shirt!!! I agree with @luckynumbrxiii that there’s something shitty about this.  It’s not just that it seems greedy- I mean, I get that artists are going to make money and I have no problem with almost any of things they might do to accomplish that.  But, this is crossing a line in a certain way.  The thing is, a big part of the experience of being a fan of any group is that you geek out and look forward to it when they’re coming out with something new, and get your hands on it and bump that shit as soon as you can.  That’s fundamental, and artists should not be fucking with that basic relationship.  But when you make people pay $100 for a new EP, you’re fucking with it.  It’s absolutely right that it’s my choice not to pay that if I don’t want to.  But it’s not just about a product that I might want or not want to buy- it’s about making me choose between paying $100 for an EP (which is bullshit), or else not being able to have part of that basic experience of being a fan.  Which means disengaging a little bit, getting a little bit less geeked about following what ICP is up to, etc.  I don’t want to do that, and what’s more is that I don’t think it’s in ICP’s best interests in the long term to fuck with their fans like that.

Maybe the physical copy of House of Wax could have been exclusive to the box set and had it released digitally as its own album. Then people could just buy the music, and the collectors could still have something special.

Hey there are plenty of things that are cool to include as extras, but some that aren’t, new music being one of them IMO.  Others would include turds, human slaves, anthrax, and deadly armies of tiny flying robots.  Although if they were to include a turd, mine had better be a big old solid log and not some lameass watery little nugget, otherwise you better believe I will be on this forum within seconds letting everyone know what bullshit that is. 

Since this is a review thread for the EP, my honest opinion is that most of this is shit that was scrapped that wasn’t meant to, and shouldn’t have, seen the light of day. Without a doubt one of my least favorite ICP releases of all time but then again I wasn’t really expecting it to be much more than that anyway as they tend to put out garbage when it comes to “bonus” material. But to each their own, if you enjoy it more power to ya, personally it didn’t do anything to help hold me over until The Missing Link though. I would have rather had them throw all the EPs (BK 50187, TW, and TOL) on one remastered CD without the excessively long skits. Maybe then I would have bought the box set, as it is though there’s nothing in that box set that I have to have.
