very dissapointed with this entire album. i actually did a google search on ghetto rainbows because i hated it that much i wanted to know if anyone out there could actually like this terrible song. im suprised this many people actually dig the album. bazooka joey was the only good song. the remixes were as bad as the normal versions, and then the whole remix album was even bad. they did a horrible remake of shout. i dont listen to duran duran but my sister grew up listening to them everyday so i heard shout a billion times, theres a difference in what you wanna do and what your good at and there definately not good at remaking a song like shout. even songs u cant fuck up they fucked up. jump around was decent but i still rather just listen to house of pains version. even eazy es love for them gangstaas just didnt sound right at all. and this is coming from a 15+ year juggavet i HATE this album from start to finish. every song has the same fast tempo, its not really the lyrics written that failed, the songs were interesting but i hated the beats so much i forced myself to listen to them. and the whole choir singing along on the choruses is getting out of hand. its like a joke u keep telling over and over the first few time it works but then you do it to much and its like please just stop it worked on a few songs in the past but now its every song. they dont need to pull in all the psychopathic emplyoees to come in for every chorus. bazooka joey was the only song i liked, but it seemed identical to the song on shaggys solo cd they shooting bullets at my fucking head. also night of the chainsaw seemed like a horrible version of night of the 44. dog catchers i somewhat liked but its barely 2 minutes long. ive officially gave up after this album. its obvious the wicked shit is just gone forever. this cd might work for younger juggalos and the newer crowd and im glad people do enjoy it but for me the carnival has packed up and left my town forever. when i find myself forcing myself to like a cd i know its time to move on and cherish the past cd's that ill always listen to. i dont think i can ever find that feeling again that i had cracking open milenko or riddle box for the first time and listening to it nonstop and telling everyone i know check this out! now its more like hey dont check this out stay away from it!

and not one in those billion listenings did you realize that shout was done by tears for fears… observant, arent we?
ive officially gave up after this album.
we will miss you. deuces.
now for the actual topic… or at least, the topics title.
ghetto rainbows is this album's ghetto rainbows. if you cant interpret icps music without pigeonholing it, you must have problems with everything theyve ever done.
addendum: im getting more than a little irritated at these ninjas who think they can speak for me cuz theyve been down as long as i have. a deserter who goes awol because he doesnt like it in al kut, doesnt get to call himself a 'vet.'
awfully paranoid, arent you?

Maybe if people would stop comparing current ICP to classic ICP, and instead compared current ICP to current music as a whole, they could appreciate the new albums for what they are. Music today is not what it used to be, the mainstream is shit (as evidenced by a pubescent canadian kid rising to insane popularity by singing the line "oh baby baby, baby" 50 times over a poppy beat), and even many of the musical acts that created some of my favorite music a decade or two ago have slackened in quality. In my opinion, the clowns are still more entertaining than 90% of what's being pushed onto the public these days. No, The Mighty Death Pop is not The Riddle Box, but that doesn't mean it should be berated for being original.

dk why somebody would expect music from today to sound like music from the early 90's for any artist, but whatever i guess. Personally I like the old albums but im def feelin the new albums too. Wouldn't expect to see somebody from the fam "leavin" because they aint feelin one album though, meh*if i took it the wrong way my bad. just sayin)

I'm glad they evolved from their older stuff in the 90's...dont get me wrong I love the old stuff but it can't stay the same forever u gotta grow with time...they could be doing it in worse ways ppl should appreciate they're sticking with the old styles to ANY extent whether it be a lil bit or a lot
