So I got to the Riddlebox show at about noon been partying and chilling with fam all day…but my day wasn’t finished. After the Riddlebox show we all headed over to Tom Cats West for the after party show. By the time I got there the line was already long but we already had our tickets so no big deal. I was freaking out cause this venue was even smaller and the line looked insane. Once we got in and all it wasn’t so bad. Plenty of room to move around all though the bar was severely under staffed and it took nearly 30 mins to get my first set of drinks.

To be honest I was about 18 Beers in and some shots at this point so my names on the acts might be off but I believe the first act was a rape duo made up of the lead singer of Unity-TX and another guy. They were ok but nothing to write home about. Unity-TX was much better.

After that came D-Nice and Claas….these guys were pretty good. I already liked Claas and spent a number of minutes getting to know D-Nice at the Riddlebox show. They did a pretty decent job.

After that was a band…not sure WTF they were and my wife can not remember also but it was “Pirate” something. I think these guys were high and fucked up before they got on stage. One guy nearly fell off the stage twice and another had to pull him back. It was an act I would like to forget. It was entertaining to watch it unfold but the musical talent was not there at all.

Then ICP comes on….their outfits were sick and young wicked joined them eventually. The show was great and the songs were definitely ones I loved hearing. When Murder go round came on I fucking flipped. Young wicked of course was there. In my opinion they are trying to push him WAY too much. Love the guy but if they plan on using him as a replacement I think they will be disappointed in the results from the fanbase.

Overall it was worth $10 a piece easily just ICP alone. I will have nightmares about the pirate guys though. Between the two shows though it definitely felt like ICP is continuing to try and push Young Wicked. If they are so bent on pushing other artists besides themselves they should sign a few new ones and push the entire label again instead of just one guy.

Agreed about Young Wicked,They’re in danger of overexposing him. People are gonna start resenting him at some point. Especially if he keeps appearing on their songs so much.

He is a great talent and if they plan on slowing down then Psychopathic will definitely need to push others to survive, but he IS NOT the personality that can carry a torch. He is definitely an asset though. They need to rebuild a roster or not plan on retiring for many years to come.

I don’t see it as over exposer at all. People hated the guy and now people are starting to come around due to his hard work and psychopathic promotion. Most due to his work. Cuz ICP can push what ever they want doesn’t mean it works. I see him going no where but up. And I don’t see icp “passing the torch” any time soon. All violent j can talk about is how they are in their prime and shit. I think they’re showing what they got.

Young wicked will eventually leave the label and start his own shit if he don’t get a piece of the pie. It’s a lesson everyone on that label knows well.  And if he does get a piece good for him I think he will do great wherever they put him or wherever he puts himself.

People forget how fucking hard ICP pushed twiztid because they like twiztid now but in the early days man you had to deal with them on EVERYTHING. ICP album? Twiztid’s on it. Oh, check out dark lotus featuring twiztid. Oh, check out rydas with twiztid. we’re touring with twiztid. Hey we’re on the radio and twiztid is hanging out with us. And twiztid is at the instore and twiztid is in our movie, blah blah blah/

Young wicked is fine. I don’t feel him but I can say the same for literally everything that psy has put out outside of icp. Most of the shit they put out, ain’t my shit. He ain’t gonna get played out though as long as he keeps coming out with new music.

And I agree. I don’t see them passing the torch any time soon. There’s still 3 jokers cards to go in the second set, and it takes them a couple years to drop a new jokers card. We haven’t even begun to hear about the next one and you know they’ll promote the fucking shit for like a year first with “it’s coming” and shit.

Not sure I agree, I must have conversed with over 100 ninjas yesterday and EVERY single one of them was just “meh” about him at best and many were spitting pure venom about the dude.

@Tidwell…Twiztid had a HUGE underground following before Psychopathic grabbed them…..AMB did not.

I don’t know if I’d call their following huge. I mean, I dug HOK but at most icp shows people hated on twiztid and none of them knew hok. at least in the beginning. it took them time, it’ll take him some time if he ever gets as big as they are. The thing about twiztid is they kinda found a way to create their audience within the juggalo world, to become distinct. Young Wicked is trying to do that, too. And it’s gonna rub some people the wrong way. Eventually, ICP won’t have to push him so hard because he’ll have his own momentum going. Until then, just get used to having him around.

I will say, that I think what helped Twiztid that is failing for Young Wicked, is that twiztid didn’t produce. They used MEC on mostasteless and it helped sound a lot more like ICP so it was easier for juggalos to jump into it. With young wicked coming in and producing for ICP, it’s changing the sound of ICP and it’s making people uncomfortable (even if sometimes he’s a better producer than MEC, it’s different, and people don’t like different).

I like his talent…..not his gimmick but I have mad respect for him. He needs a better gimmick or at least a gimmick at all….he is not distinguishing himself enough to me…if that makes sense?
