If you have followed “Christian” news the last few days then you might have heard that a rap group called the Insane Clown Posse came out as Christians.  In fact they said they have been Christians for the entirety of their career.

Now this came as a shock to me, as it does others.  ICP is not known for family friendly lyrics (and that might be the understatement of the year).  Their  songs promote promiscuity, murder, violence, and if you had to put out a radio version of their songs then you probably would not have much left to listen to.

When asked why they hid their faith the response was they had to speak the language of their target group and gain their credibility before they could tell them the truth about themselves (although I think 20 years might have been a little long).

Although this is truly an extreme case, I think this is the type of mindset I have seen from other Christians.  The mindset that we have to participate in sin in order to reach “sinners.

Playing cards, like reading your horoscope, has become a joke or just a game. However, the Lord does not look at it as a joke or game. There are serious consequences for reading your horoscope as well as using cards or just having them in your home. It has been said that nicknames for a deck of cards is “The Devil’s Bible” and “The Devil’s Picture Book”. At one time the church took a strong stand against the card game. Until recently preachers and churches warned about the dangers of cards.

Some of the most common places you will find a deck of cards (besides our homes) will be with prostitutes, gamblers, thieves, murderers, in taverns, brothels, prisons, insane asylums, gambling dens, etc., but never at a prayer meeting.

The king represents Satan, Prince of Darkness, usurper and foe of our Lord Jesus Christ. The ten card is for the Spirit of lawlessness, in opposition to the moral law in the Word of God. Witches, psychics, and satan worshiper use playing cards for divination and to cast spells and curses. Born-again believers should not want to be in contact with such a tool of satan. In Deuteronomy 7:26 we are told not to have abominable things in our homes. It will bring a curse on you and your household. It is time that Christians clean house and destroy the hidden works of darkness.

Alright the million dollar question is upon us almost. So soon are pre orders should be shipping next week, or are we gonna go through that shit we went through with Missing Link Lost where we receive it two weeks late? 

Even though I’m weary about “I Like It Rough” potentially being just a festival of fucked up but unclever sex rap stuff, I do appreciate the old school tactic about “warning” us about a song. I remember they did this about Black Crows on Tales From The Lotus Pod and I was pretty hyped for that song. And I still love that song, that’s one of those songs that I think serves as the “template” for what I think DL was really supposed to be about. 

Other then this remark, we really just need to ignore KuKluxKlown. Very positive by now he’s just a troll. Anyway back on subject the final track is….odd. I’m all for it, its just odd for a change they’re ending the album with somthing dark and sinister that’s sexual if I recall correctly. I’m calling it know its gonna be somthing like Freak Bitch or some 50 shades of Grey bondage shit. It’s just weird because the last few ICP albums have ended on a emotional note about how we live life “Time, I See the Devil, and Forever” then there was Bang Pow Boom that brought all the sinister characters together to be destroyed.

I think they are giving a “warning” because they are gonna say words like faggot and Dyke etc. Since people are so PC nowadays they gotta give a warning before a song that uses derogatory slur vocabulary
