Back in the day I member going over a friends house before the sixth dropped and he played “homies” (or was it “ain’t Yo bidness”) for me….when the album came out and that song came on,  I couldn’t help but want to skip that song and get to the next one… Kinda ruins the listening session for me.   

I’m with you homie. I don’t want any type of single. ICP was never about singles. Honestly, I couldn’t care less if Red Fred gets delayed. I don’t “look” for ICP albums anymore. They happen as they happen. If you told me FFF was coming out in 2020, my response would be, “Shit I’ll just listen to their back catalog as I have been for the past 20 years then.”

But don’t you find it odd that there’s no tracklist, no sampler, no single, no nothing with the album 9 days away? It’s to be expected to put something out to promote the album and most people would be in the minority to not want to hear it. But again, if this shit drops on time and it is the bomb, that will be a fun experience.

A little bit, yes….but icp are floobs, I don’t expect them to be perfect…thats why I never believe them when they say something is “coming soon”.

At times I think they use the “kickstart” approach….they talk about a project, and see if there is a hype for said idea,  before actually making the project….so I like to keep the hype going,  not wanting it to crash and burn.  Like VJ said at the last three gotj about law of attraction, you speak things into existence…so talking about them being broke and other negative stuff will only make it true, inevitably….same goes with hype/hope/belief.

How many times…has icp dropped a single before a jokers card came out?  Not that often

Speaking on singles… Isn’t “cusswords” and some other song considered a single for FFF… Sure they been out awhile, but they still exists. 

When was the last time icp did a sampler for an album? Bang pow boom? I don’t expect samplers,  but I wish the did more often,  especially samplers like the one for the wraith Shangri-la.

Tracklist?

Now this one I totally agree with,  but imma have to say it’s because there is less stores that sell physical music nowadays….meaning that it’s less likely for a juggalo to sneak a copy before it releases…or get product info on merchandise they will be receiving soon. 

I think that since it has the word fury in the title,  I think they are letting it work it’s magic.  Especially since “no info” obviously got ninjas furious. Seems like the hype is more this jokers card than tmml era to me. Ninjas get mad when icp are predictable, and now ninjas are mad when they are left in the dark. 

Plus the current mind state of humans is “instant” due to all your conditioning from social media.  It’s like social media and the internet has giving people a severe case of ADHD.

One of my favorite times at this years Gathering was the impromptu Hells Cellar listening session we had.  

That was definitely a fresh as fuck experience! 

It was awesome to watch other peoples reactions and comments during a “1st listen”, for a change…i usually end up listening to new icp material by myself.
