So, heading into 2020, what is your favorite PSY release from the past 10 years? It can be anything from an album, to a single, to a t-shirt, to a tour.
For me, it's unequivocally the Behind the Paint audio book. I listen to it about 3 times a year and plan on starting again come January. Commuting 60mi a day for work, it "takes me away " so to speak from the monotony of everyday life. As much as I love to read, I can't really bring myself to read the actual book anymore cause Violent J just nails the storytelling. I even plan on buying another copy shortly just to have as a backup.
Happy Holidays and Much Clown Love into the New Year yall.

I've been listening to the audiobook lately as well..
tip 1: pause each chapter/era & watch concert footage on youtube..
tip 2: as you watch concert footage, occasionally drink some liquor with ROOT BEER to remind yourself of the smell of an ICP concert..
I have a lot of favs.. let me think..

hmm let me recap.. 2010 was a really good year.. pretty much everyone dropped an album that year but ABKs' Medicine Bag was my favorite of the year.. in 2011 I felt like psy was startin to fall off while Esham was startin to kill it but then they dropped the fire ass project EATSHITNDIE, also I think that was the year of the epic bloodymania w/mick foley.. 2012 they had Hatchet Attacks in New Mexico.. 2013 twiztid then blaze left but Boondox & AMB returned which got me really hype.. "Garcia Bros" lived up to the hype in 2014 & ICP had their best album, both of the decade & in a long ass time with "Found' in 2015.. Legz Diamond also had a standout project in like '13..
my years might get mixed up..
all I remember about '16 is The Wizard of the Hood performance was epic & that was Young Wickeds' last year with the label & it already seemed like he was being shunned, aside from the music video, he didnt really release anything with the label, that year.. in 2017 & I think that was the 1st year of the DCG Con, that concept is incredible.. as well as whenever they release a new game, like they did with "Into the Echoside", & "Quest" in the past.. I agree about the audiobook being noteworthy.. as well as marching on Washington.. '18 uhhh Hells' Cellar?? '19 saw the return of the Soopa Villainz..
so yeah, ABK & SV need a new album.. & they need to keep whoever is the most successful of their new artist & find better new ones..

Lotus mud.blood.water.air came out about a week before my oldest brother died, ever sense the wraith era started any psychopathic release was EXACTLY what i was going through that point in my life, the biggest one was when hells pit dropped my daughters mom and the love of my life sense hschool(i was 17 she was 26) when i got with her, two years later we had a beautiful daughter who i still have custody of to this day.Anyways within two weeks of hells pit dropping she just told me one day its over no reason nothing, that album saved my life, i was gonna do something stupid but i didnt want to end up as one of the many batshit insane characters on the many tracks on the album, also staying around for my daughter was the other 50 percent that saved me
1st/and a half the phantom, best ep icp has ever released EVER

I haven't kept up on the clowns since day one like some of you all, so I can't say a favorite cd. Hell I like reading threads like this cause half the shit I haven't heard of.
I went to one concert maybe 10 years ago and loved it.
The past 5 years have been an explosion.
Our first Gathering, the March, first Hallowicked, first Ballas, trips to Reading, Cleveland, and Pittsburgh for concerts, and buying my first jersey at Record Store Day.
I've enjoyed all of it.

MWAB is my favorite Lotus record (and I copped it at what is still my favorite GOTJ to date). It is unorganized due to the split sessions between the camps it was recorded, but it doesn't come off as forced (which it could have). You can here in that record the finality of it. That's it, Lotus is over.

I'm pretty surprised to see so much love for the last lotus album..I wasn't feeling it.. it didnt sound like they were on the same page at all & I dont think any of the songs were really that fire..we might have to make a thread of peoples favorite song from that album..
Couldn't disagree more. Everybody came in on some 100% shit. Everything flows together. It's murky and dark without being depressing or hopeless.
The way it's split into chapters and how those chapters reflect the growth of the group through their discography. All the verses work with the song concepts and the trajectory of the album.
The album is damn near flawless, and let it rain its the perfect closing of the lotus saga.

I still dont like J's over the top storytelling delivery he did on this album.. I cant front tho I only heard the full project like once or twice..
