Night of the axe was one of the two tracks that I actually favored the most on COC, There are some solid tracks on there but Night Of the axe and Blacken yo eyes were the two that solidified COC the most for me, That why I never had love for the rerelease in 98, When they cut those 2 off I was skittish to even buy it again, I felt like such an idiot for trading all my original Jokers cards to my homie for a sega genesis, I have a burned copy of the O.G. COC that I wont even touch. But Night of the Axe is a fuckin classic, 44 comes second and Chainsaw comes third in choice.

Night of the Government Shutdown is good too. Not quite the caliber of the other three, unfortunately.

I find one compliments the experience with the other…but to each their own I suppose.

For now, I guess I’d go with Night of the Chainsaw, but 44 is a close second.

These are some of my FAVORITE songs of all time.

But ima have to go against the grain a little bit, I love 44 don get me wrong (axe is also great if you want that oldschool feeling, which I do on occasion), but Chainsaw and Red Rum are just fucking amazing to me. Chainsaw especially, I musta bumped that a million times by now. So mine would prolly be

1. chainsaw

2. Red Rum

3. 44 and Axe (a tie)

Truthfully, you can’t really go wrong with these tracks. They’re so different while maintaining a theme.

I’m going to bring a former LSP artist into this that nobody gives a shit about just because I can.  But really, this song and video is good:

1. .44 (always loved that song, prolly my favorite Hell’s Pit song next to Suicide Hotline)

2. Axe (dope oldschool song, love CoC)

3. Red Rum (I’m just glad they can still pull off these kind of songs. Had my doubts for a minute but this is on point)

4. Chainsaw [Joe Strange Remix] (Prefer this beat over the original just a little bit; don’t care much for the “you can’t calm me dooown” part so the fact that it was omitted on this version works for me; and most importantly, Three 6 fucking killed it)

5. Chainsaw [original version] (This song was always a bit frustrating to me. I love the beat and Shaggy on the hook but J’s delivery kinda disappointed me. I don’t like how his vocals sound on this one (or the majority of BPB and TMDP for that matter). He just sounds out of breath and kinda goofy. I kinda wish J would re-do this song in his current FFF voice)

6. Night Of The Living Baseheads ( :P )
