I'll keep this simple.

What themes do you enjoy the most in Psychopathic's music, primarily ICP? (but other artists are welcome).

Ideas for new songs within said themes?

Favorite songs and the theme/concept they fit in, why you like it?

THEME & CONCEPT EXAMPLES TO GET US STARTED:

  • Horror Movie Concepts
  • Clown/Circus/Carnival Themes
  • Pop Culture Murderers
  • "Paranormal"
  • Political
  • Ninja
  • Voodoo
  • Halloween
  • Holiday
  • Sex
  • Love
  • Inspirational
  • "Occult"
  • Fantasy
  • Story-Oriented
  • Gangster
  • Underground Reppin'
  • Comedic
  • Juggalo Sub-Culture
EXAMPLE: Clown/Circus/Carnival theme – When I'm Clownin'
I enjoy the circus sounds and maniacal laughter because.. blah blah.. It'd be cool if they made a song about a sideshow freak like crab boy, he killed people on a beach. (you get the picture)

I think a few of those could fall under horror movie concepts. So I'll go with that one. The combination of everything is the best part about ICP to me.

Dude, who wants to hear about real shit??? Alll of icp's best songs are fictional stories, amys in the attic, cemetary girl, the loons, never had it made, under the moon, play with me, birthday bitches, cpks, etc. Real shit in music is wack. I want fun exciting sci fi, anything further from the truth. "Wanna keep it real? Look out ur door that's as real as it gets from the sky to the floor"

Agree with the whole people fronting, but if it is done in a story telling way or saying this is what I would do or what I'm capable of doing then its cool....bitch

I admit I'm more attracted to the fantasy aspect of ICP rather than "keeping it real", BUT I totally agree about the inspirational music.

Songs like the infamous "Miracles", "Joke Ya Mind", "Pass Me By", "Nothing's Left", "Forever", and my all time favorite "Crystal Ball" are great works by them. I hope they continue to make songs like that for the end of most of their albums to come. Hopefully they will keep the Joker's Card theme in play with those though.

Many people don't realize they have many gems full of great vibes and lyrics. Fuck it, I'll list a few more:

"Fly Away", "Let's Go All The Way", "Wind Me Up", "It's All Over", "Behind the Paint", "Juggalo Paradise", "We'll be Alright", "Off the Track", "Beautiful (Indestructible)", "Kept Grindin'", "Think 4 Yourself", "Simple & Blunt", "The People", "Juggalo Chant", "If I Was a King", "Get Your Ass Off the Couch", "Yours Begins Tonight", "Take Me Home", "How Many Times", "I'm Coming Home", "Ringmaster's Word", "I Do This!", "If I was a Serial Killer", "I Don't Wanna Die", and just about all of Shangri La. The list can go on and on..

lol i agree its one thing if its obviously story telling but even these generic horrorcore cats who do that is wack to me cuz of how much they repeatedly say the same shit just in different ways… icp are very creative with their storytelling & rarely repeat themselves..

I love Icp's stories about the poor kid who wants nothing more than love or some attention. "Mr Johnsons Head" "Prom Queen""In My Room" "Vera Lee""Mad Professor" y'all catch my drift. Always related to those

As far as being real....dude.....If you want real listen to something else besides icp. I usually turn to other types of music if I want inspiration..Rock-classic rock-country-Punk/Ska what have you.

Also love the straight up horror wicked shit. I.E. most of hells pit. Just fucking going off the deep end and taking out everybody in your way.

Their inspirational songs are beautiful in their simplicity. Those songs that send chills up and down your spine.

I really like how Psy is run like a wrestling organization. every artist has a character you know like people go to events to see The Rock not dwayne johnson or they go to see Shawn Micheals not Micheal Hickenbottem. In the same sense we go to see Any Body Killa not James Lowry or Blaze the dead man not Chris Rouleou. Can you feel me i love that about Psy everyone has an alter ego/character even Jumpsteady is a character although not like Violent J but he does have a character that can do all kinda other worldly things.

I love songs like 12 and Everyday I die and Night of the (fill in the blank) Because they take u out of this world and take you to another place like a good book can do. I dig songs like Wizard of the Hood and Meltdown by Shaggy cuz its fun and inventive they have always been very creative.

And speaking on the restof Psy The whole dead gangsta brought back to life by the Dark Lotus is a great concept and the Native Spirit Warrior of ABK is great. Even the Psy assassin in Cold 187 is a wild concept i really do think that Psy crosses all genres and demographics Even in the past with Myzery and AMB both of latin decent and Boondox with the whole dirty south style. They got something for all races faces and creeds.

gimmicks are cool if used/executed correctly. psychopathic's artists are like comic book characters they change and evolve but always within the characters.

Can't agree with your "bitching" comment earlier...maybe it was just to "stir the pot" but I completely agree with the statement above.

I'd even take it to the next level and break down any artist anyone feels is 100% real and show how in between the lines....lies a gimmick. ICP have shown me in their personalities throughout the years, that they are true to their gimmick ...more so than artists who claim not to have a gimmick.

I would like to see a longer version of Night of the Chainsaw like a 30 min. one where J is murdering dudes with a chainsaw and more story like Bowling Balls. I would like to see more short film type videos like Micheal Jackson. I want to see a short film of SaturdayAfternoon by Blaze and more short films from Psy all together. That would be cool. Since they can make there own videos they should do more like the way Gwar does it like once a year for a big full length movie who cares if its low budget those are the best right. The campy horror movies are always classics hahaha

It's probably impossible unless it comes from the heart and they've proven that to me. I think it scares people more than anything and feeds the hate of outsiders. That's why they always fall back on this gimmick crap...if they listened to the lyrics they'd realize this shit isn't a gimmick at all.

People that hate on ICP always seem to fall back on the gimmick aspect. I just told you how their gimmick is realer than the rest of most artists because deep down, that's who they are more than what they want you to think they are. They can paint their faces all they want but the shit they are saying is coming from themselves. Too many people claim to be real and create more fantasies that aren't true and it's more difficult to differentiate from than two guys who paint their faces like clowns…..does that help?
