Yeah, he influenced ICP big time, no doubt. He is the forefather of the wicked shit.
But as a person, the guy has consistently been a piece of shit to ICP for as long as they existed.
Refused to re-record after he fucked up his lines on CoC, got salty as fuck when ICP got more pop at him at a live show and had people boo'ing ICP's people, rumored to shot up Alex Abbis, dissed ICP in songs multiple times since leaving label, leaked SV tracks when he left, claims he's never going to the Gathering again but brags about the merch he "unloaded" on Juggalos as if they're just a source of income.
Genuinely shitty human being (I remember him putting out some videos of some prostitute he was mocking and dissing, really disturbing) who hasn't put out anything of value of 20+ years to even justify his behavior

I dig eshams older stuff but everything he has released since tongues has steadily gone down hill. I love the reel life productions logo. I rock the hat and shirt pretty often.
Everytime I've met esham he was a super nice dude. Sucks that he doesn't mingle with the juggalos. Oh well.
Hardcore esham fans crack me up. I see a lot of them dissing icp for signing blahzay rose but said nothing when esham signed that crazy dame chupacabre or whatever they called her. Meh
It's all just music. I have my preferences.

I don't think him and J get along at all.
I of course don't know this for a fact at all, but, I think they do get along in some weird way. And by that, it seems that J seems to be probably one of the few people that understands Esham and how fuckin' crazy that guy really is in the head. So they probably can relate in many ways. But I agree, seems that Esham has done many, many shady things towards ICP starting way back in the day and continues to pop in and out whenever it's convenient for him. I don't know, I think he's just a fuckin lunatic.

EVERYTHING juggalos now love so much is what it is because ESHAM made it possible and inspired everyone. Im not defending him for doing and saying some of the crazy shit hes done but thats the truth. I consider him the best MC of all time( laugh at me if you want) but dudes body of work is absolutely incredible. I am both a juggalo and a suicdalist and thats 4 life.

well, just like Jesus Christ, doesn't mean he's perfect.... doesn't mean we don't want to tenderize his nuggets via knuckle-breading sometimes.
Let it be.

I agree with this all day.

I was a huge esham fan back in the day but his chance came and went a long time ago. He's come out with some decent stuff since but his last truly great release was dead flowers and there really hasn't been anything unique about his shit since. However his music just seems to get worse and time passes and any serious music career is all but over. He either needs to realize this and get out or learn his place and stop stepping on artists who don't really need his praise or support. ICP is obviously grateful for his influence on their early career and they should be but at the same time at some point they need to say enough is enough and stop giving him opportunities for him to burn them when at this point, them putting him on is simply throwing him a bone. These days he should be grateful to ICP for keeping him at least slightly relevant.
