Thought I make this a topic of discussion. Been curious about who all buys hard copies this day in age. I personally as of now Psychopathic and MNE are the only labels I buy hard copies of. I still save music to my Spotify list in fact spotify is where I play most of my music both juggalo and non juggalo cds. The hard copies are just collectors gems. To me its like collecting baseball cards. Overall though I’m sure some ninjas have stopped buying hard copies for understandable reasons due to CD stores closing down or no longer carrying CDs at stores. Final note I will say I prefer the feeling of buying a hard copy. I do miss the feeling of walking into a store and picking up a new release and snagging a few other gems I didn’t expect to find. Its just not the same feeling getting it in the mail or waiting on a new CD to be added to Spotify. Anyway sound off. Whats your preference? Digital download, streaming or CDs?
Do you still buy your music on hard copies?

Yes I have a pretty large cd collection I started when I was a kid in the 90’s. I have the entire psychopathic, strange music, MNE, Reel Life/Gotham, prophet/hypnotize minds discographies plus a whole lot of other artists full discographies. From Bone to Wu tang. I even have a decent collection of rock/alternative/classic rock/metal but the majority is hip hop. Plus you get better sound quality from a CD than digital. I don’t even know how to use iTunes or Spotify or any of that shit. If it’s not on a physical release I dont fuck with it. I hate to say it but if you can’t hold it in your hands you actually don’t own anything. You are renting or leasing that music, game, movie

I had been listening to ICP since 2003. At that point the only CD I owned by Twiztid was Mostastless. I started collecting fully around 2007 when Tempest dropped and began looking more into the underground scene and who all ICP had on their roster in 2007 then. Im kinda under the impression Juggalos are pretty old school in terms of CD collecting as to where most have completely moved to digital format

The answer is mostly no for me. I might consider buying a physical CD if it comes with something cool you can’t get otherwise. I have an Apple Music subscription so I stream everything, but do enjoy buying vinyl sometimes when available. I think vinyl or streaming is the way to go and CDs aren’t necessary anymore.

I don’t consider having an mp3 in a folder as actually owning a copy of anything.
Besides spotify, as a music service, why would I actually pay for a link to DL music when I can easily just get it for free? It makes no sense. Owning a copy is actually holding the project in your hands. Basically your getting duped by paying for nothing, physicals on the other hand, you have something to show for the money.
@Bonesaw showed his music collection above, was it a screenshot of a music folder on a CPU?

I don’t buy many CD’s much anymore… but sometimes
mostly if I see something at show that I like
but I collect Reggae and Punk vinyl and always try to buy a Vinyl record if I see something new or some old shit I want either at a show or at a record store.
Last ICP album I bought was “Lost”, i’lll definitely try to pick up a physical copy of Red Fred & flip the rat though

Yep. always have and always will. If they make 14 colors of the same album with a different font on each title, I’ll buy one of each of those too. The very least I can do is put a couple $ back in their pockets for still putting music out and touring even if it’s not exactly my favorite shit. I’m 40 myself and I DAMN sure don’t think/live/feel the same way I did when I was 20 so I don’t expect them to either
