I went to the mixtape release party last night here in Cleveland. I was pretty damn exhausted and didn't feel like doing shit, but I just wanted to share what I thought about Clay's newest effort.
I don't remember hearing the intro, Goblin by ICP, LA by Cold187, or any of the skits. The new ABK solo track sounded alright, but I might like his semi-recent cheesy anthem Don't Let Go better. The new Drive-By track is dope, but it sounded a little consistent. The Skreem remix and Legz Diamond remixes were actually really well done, if I remember right Hopsin starts off the Skreem remix. I don't remember the other ICP tracks though, must've not been memorable.
The new Myzery track is incredible, he got a good response from the crowd. But looking at the tracklist, Blaze's newest solo track is suppose to be after his. But at the show, both songs' beats sounded very similar, if not the same. And there was only a 2-second "DJ CLAAAY" between them. And afterwards, Clay mentioned making history by having the 2 together. Either way, it was damn good to hear 2 OG Rydas back-to-back.
No reaction to Whitney Peyton though, I'm undecided on her track as well. The outro wasn't anything spectacular.
All in all, I liked the mixtape, but I wouldn't pay, what was it, 12 bucks? For a mixtape? Fuck that lol.

Of course it sounds like another Clay mixtape lol. I would love to hear it again somehow but that price is just ridiculous. I mainly wanna bump the Myz/Blaze and DB tracks though. Halp.
I forgot to mention that he kept a promise and doesn't do the typical consistent shouting. Shit gets annoying after so many mixtapes.

sounds like the other 4..maybe a few good tracks just like the others..they were all the same to me..just my opinion..ill check it out though..same thing as book of the wicked 1 and 2...couple good tracks..why would it be any different after 6 albums..

DJ Clay mixtapes are always bomb. Nice mix of flavor. Never garbage, might have garbage songs but not really.
Book of the wicked 2 was alright tho.

yea homie im goin to the abk/dj clay underground summer jam tour in anderson,In on friday june 7th i was was wonderin if clays set was tight or if hes goin ta play the whole new mixtape

I cant wait to hear it, Been waitin awhile for some new shit from clay, BOTW 2 was terrible. More skits then songs on the album, But this looks promising to say the least. Whats up on his solo album though, Is he even going to drop his solo shit?

Out of all the mixtapes hes dropped over the years, His solo tracks were always good to me, I know a lot of people would disagree with me on that note, But ive liked clays songs throughout his short career, Just a song I wrote was the first song I heard him actually rappin and I thought it was fresh. I think he could do a solo album wihout a problem, Just trying to find the time is the problem.

My copy will be here Monday. I ordered 4 hours past the deadline and it didnt ship till the next day. Oh well. Cant wait though. i dont know why all the hate for it. Ppl always pre-judge any PSY/HH album that comes out anymore. A lil over $12 after shipping isnt bad for a full album. You can go to Strange Musics store and pay that much for a Tech ep. Mixtapes have the yelling or shouting on them. Thats normal for mixtapes. They have been doing that for avery long time.

all of dj clay's mixtapes have been good. even book of the wicked chapter 2 had some great tracks. sure there are a lotta skits but the tracks outweigh them. $12 is a decent price for a 16 track cd with brand new icp, blaze, abk, etc... also an ep from strange cost $6.99 not $12....not that overpriced lol and I enjoy the whole yelling/shout outs on the mixtapes. I felt botw1and2 both were lacking in that dept. let em bleed had the feel of being a true mixtape with artists shouting out clay on different tracks...
