Well, said, it’s pretty sad that there’s so many juggalo bigots out there. And I’m not just talking homophobes, I’ve met plenty of straight up racist juggalos as well. Do these people not even listen to the words in the music they listen to? How someone can claim juggalo and fam and then turn around and hate on gays, blacks, muslims, etc. is beyond me.

Exactly!  I’ll never understand how someone can call themselves a Juggalo and then turn around and be a bigot.  It makes no fucking sense.  

And also, it DOES make a difference to have someone calling people out when they’re being a bigot.  Other people can see that and know that they aren’t alone.  I’m personally not really offended by that original post that used the word fag or w/e, but someone else might have been and seeing people stand up to that could have made their day and helped to form their opinion on what being a Juggalo is really about.  I’m completely against censorship to keep from offending people…but this is about everyone saying whatever the fuck they want to let others out there know that most Juggalos are not bigots.  Oh and one definition of “gross” is “rude or offensive.”

Definitely, when people toss those words around most of the time they don’t mean it in a directly homophobic way, calling someone a fag usually means the same thing as calling them a pussy or a bitch.  At the same time, if there’s anyone in the community who’s gay wants to call it out and tell people not to do it, I’m 100% supportive of that.  

The reality is that even though we’ve come a long way gay people in this country still have to live like refugees.  In most of the country they will face constant discrimination in terms of jobs, housing, social disapproval, being subjected to violence, etc.  As long as that’s the case, nobody should bitch about being asked to check themselves in a way that doesn’t make gay people wonder whether this is another place where they’re going to face that kind of shit.  Much respect to @robtidwell for doing just that.

I don’t think there are a lot of problems in kids these days, I see it the other way around. Shit, when I was a kid, people used to say “fag” on TV, you know what I’m saying? I feel like kids today are raised with not so much hate. Today is actually moving better towards prejudisms [sic] and racisms and things like that. When I was a kid it was different man, there was a lot of racism. Of course there’s still racism, but not like it was in the 80’s. I think kids today are moving in the right direction. They don’t trip out if someone’s openly gay, its just cooler that way.
