STOLEN, TOTALLY STOLEN idea from the Big Hoodoo thread!!

Even the format is stolen! Which debuts of artists (only on the Psychopathic and/or Hatchet House, Joe and Joey, you know, PSY affiliated n created labels) did you think were great, good, and poor overall, and which haven’t you heard or made a complete opinion on yet?

Great:

Good:

Poor:

Unsure (yet):

Once again, Psychopathic Records debuts only! No AMB “Unforgiven Forest” (AMB, but not on PSY!), no Native Funk “Rain From the Sun” (ABK before he was ABK, or on PSY!), etc.. . Also if they released an EP first, then an LP (as in Blaze’s case), then they should both be considered the debut. Because EP’s are small. V Synyzter only got his EP, so that’s his debut. Esham’s could be considered either “Acid Rain” or “Repentance” due to the former being mostly pre-PSY tracks put on a PSY release.

I love making things difficult lol

My ‘pinion…

Great: Mostasteless, Blaze’s EP and One Less G in the Hood, Psycho and Charges of Indictment, Hatchet Warrior, Para La Isla, Tales From the Lotus Pod, The Chaos Theory, Carnival of Carnage

Good: Cracked Tiles, Acid Rain and Repentance, The Harvest, Dumpin’, the Mike E Clark mix album, Furious, Pony Down, Let Em Bleed

Poor: None that I’ve listened to all the way.

Great: Acid Rain, Blaze EP, Tales from the Lotus Pod, Mostasteless, Dumpin’, Cracked Tiles.

Good/Average: Crystal Skull, 9 Pistolas, One Less G, Chaos Theory, Carnival of Carnage, Psycho/Charges of Indictment, Hatchet Warrior, Para La Isla, The Harvest, Let ‘Em Bleed Vol. 1, Murder Mix Vol. 1.

Poor: Repentance, Blood In Blood Out, Furious, Pony Down.

Unsure: Hunting Season, Born Dead (I can’t remember how I feel about these, it’s been ages since I’ve listened to them.), The Only Solution (Haven’t checked it out in full yet.)

Do we count Breed, for his UMZ album? The New Prescription was okay.

I’d never heard it. Breed’s release flew under my radar some fuckin how, like that Razor Ray group.

I retract something here, as I agree Acid Rain is much better than Repentance. We uses to play that shit fishing nonstop lol.

The two that I’ll bet no juggalo will ever say is less than Great will be Mostasteless and Tales From the Lotus Pod. Even if they’re not your favorite Twiztid or DL album, its almost madness to say they’re just Good or Poor in comparison to the other debuts, or even on their own.

Para La Isla is just an EP and it’s good but his first full LP that woulda came out could’ve been a killer debut.

Dumpin was a great Rydas debut albun, as was Pony Down.

Perhaps an old school “Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor” format would be more telling. Excellent meaning undisputed classic and Poor meaning almost a complete mistake, front to back…. @scruffy if this were the case I’d have to put 1 Less G in Very Good, due to some dull production in the middle, mostly due to over saturation of guitar riffs

. They work on tracks “grave ain’t no place” but “given half the chance” sounded off to me. His EP was perfect though.

to me, out of those lps [the ones i have, anyway], the one that most deserves a ‘what the fuck am i doing?!’ label is furious.

that album is so out there, i dont know if i can rate it, except to say i didnt dig it much.

9 pistolas, on the other hand, was exactly what i was expecting, and exactly what they promised.  i was not mystified by it at all.

also, the more people knock ltb for what he likes, the more i think he is the truest of us.  cuz he blithely doesnt give a fuck.

tell us, bza…  when you were in the ‘everything is godlike phase’, what were you bumpin, that you are so embarrassed of now?

  awfully paranoid, arent you?

I enjoy your flabbergasted response to Soopa Villainz “Furious” , @scruffy … I am one of the few who enjoy it, while admitting it is indeed “out there”.. four male rappers from space, two white, two black, who murder off DJ’s and fuck bitches.

Mr Club throws fucking explosive records at people and scratches like he’s from another planet (!) He doesn’t rap, but screams choruses.

Mr. Spade is racist and hateful against everything, including but not limited to “Mexicans, Whites, Blacks, Arabs, and I make sure to blow the heads off of gay fags!” He’s a Black Hole Panther, of sorts.

Mr. Diamond apparently funds all of the SV’s uh, “endeavors”. He shoots dangerous diamond dust. Not really sure what else he does but rap. He just “hooks up the cut”.

Mr. Spade fucks bitches. With his “super pole”

What other hip-hop group sounds anything like this lol

i cant even tell you if i enjoy it, overall.  i shot the dj, black plague, mr club, those were all right.

but hook up the cut, or guided missiles, or pussy, or list of demands, et cetera, et cetera…  how quickly they got old.

I like The Van and Hostile. Hook Up the Cut has deep bassline

the van was good, ignoring the half-assed chorus.  danger, same same.

actually the whole album suffers from weak choruses.

except for the title track.  for some reason, the chorus of the song furious the only part i like.

Pussy and the Mr diamond song are the two I don’t like…otherwise I love that album. I loved that shaggy screamed on all the hooks mixed with the industrialized beats.
