TBH, ICP hasn’t put out a great full album since Milenko but I still find great tracks on every release.

Oh, and DJ Clay is a DJ, hence the DJ in his name. That’s what DJ’s do, they remix other people’s music and put their own twist on it, obviously you’re not very smart either.

More to the point, it’s interesting to me that when The Wraith was revealed I saw people saying, “Extending it into two albums is such a money grab!” and now it’s common for people to say that Hell’s Pit is the last good ICP album. Then when The Tempest came out, I saw it said that “Getting away from the Dark Carnival is such a money grab!” (though I would argue that The Tempest is right inline with the Dark Carnival mythos, but that’s a separate discussion). And now that they are doing more Joker’s Cards, some are saying, “Going back to the Dark Carnival is such a money grab!”. Here’s some news for you people: “money grabs” are impossible at this point. What were the biggest selling albums in Psychopathic history? Great Milenko and Jeckel Brothers. Did anyone cry “money grab” when those came out? What motivation would ICP have now to do anything other than what they genuinely think would please their fans? Do you think their business strategy is to piss off the Juggalos, lose them, and never sell another album or concert ticket? Think about how fuckin lucky we are that this thing we love has been around for something like 24 years with no desire to stop. Even if you don’t like the new music, what’s a better scenario? That after The Wraith ICP just retired and the rest of the albums just cease to be? If you love Riddle Box, know that Riddle Box wouldn’t have been what it was if it weren’t for everything, good and bad, that happened to them as artists leading up to that. By that same token, Riddle Box wouldn’t be what it was if it weren’t for everything, good and bad, that has happened since then. See how that works? Without Bang! Pow! Boom!, without Twiztid leaving, without Big Hoodoo, nothing that already happened would’ve happened the way that it did. You can’t just pick and choose your favorite parts and say, “Why couldn’t it ALL be just the way I wanted!” Grow up. That’s fuckin baby talk. Don’t forget that 99% of the people who know who ICP is fuckin hates them. What if they had the kind of power that you wish you had? There would BE no ICP. There would BE no Riddle Box. There would BE no Twiztid (as we know them). There would BE no Gatherings or Christmas parties or Hallowickeds or fuckin anything, just because someone thought it sucked. Well I like the new Psychopathic shit and I embrace the way everything unfolds because it’s fuckin interesting. Do Radiohead fans have as interesting a time as this? Fuck no. For better or worse, just be thankful for what you have here, because the “worst” is a couple of albums you can choose not to play. I’m all for intelligent criticisms. I could make some myself. Violent J could make some himself. But to say something like “The last solid album that came from Psy was WICKED” is so fucking meaningless because it’s an opinion that is so specific to you. It’s such a broad statement that you’ve just wasted your finger muscles typing it because obviously there’s no way to quantify how “solid” something is. Do you get what I’m saying? If somebody thinks, for instance, that Gang Rags is a solid album, what are you gonna do, argue with that person that they’re wrong about what they like? I can’t imagine when in your life acting like that has ever paid off. Then you throw in this caveat, “This is all my opinion of course, let the haters hate” so that you can play that card if anyone disagrees you, but it’s such a cop out. I’m not hating on you; if I hated you I wouldn’t give a shit what you said. As a Juggalo I care about your opinion enough to tell you that you’re focusing on the wrong things and that’s what’s hurting your appreciation for the music.
