understand that all of this is because ive been trained, and know better. most people havent, i get that. but i still want them to get the shit right, or stop talkin like they know.
ill correct people in casual conversations, even though they are using ‘commonly accepted’ terminology. if you say ‘clip’, i say, ‘its a magazine, not a clip.’ dont call it a ‘gun’, either; a gun is a field artillery piece. its a pistol, rifle or shotgun; or, more generic, a firearm or weapon.
dont like it? tough. when someone establishes that they know nothing about weapons, it tells me they know nothing about combat. which gives me the ultimate trump card: you cant kill me, but i can kill you.
