What up ya'll, I'm sure I'm way the fuck behind on this but I never noticed until today that when you buy a new copy of Carnival of Carnage, it's different from the original version I've always had. As I'm sure has happened to a lot of you, my copy of COC has definetly seen better days. I've had it since '97 and I've honestly played it 1000's of times. Only thing, it's skipping on a couple songs and that just sucks, so I figured i'd just go get a new copy if I could find one at the record store up here and show a little support at the same time. I found it no problem, only thing is it's not quite the same. I got in my car and unwrapped it and put on track 9, which I've always known to be the night of the axe. Instead, I'm listening to guts on the ceiling. So I finally took a closer look and noticed that there's 13 tracks instead of 15, and blackin your eyes isn't on there either. The back of the CD is also different, man I wish I looked at it before I bought it. I don't even want it, it's a joke, it's like owning censored ICP, who the fuck wants that? Needless to say, STALE!!! 2 of the best songs are gone off a classic, and it seems this reprinted bullshit came out years ago, how I missed it I have no idea, did they ever announce why they did this? It just ruined my day, well not really but it's still lame as fuck. I don't get it man

Hold the fuckin phone! Night of the axe isn't on there? Man I honestly haven't heard COC in years. I loved that classic style man. The beats may be outdated but shit still sounds fresh as fuck. "Night of the Axe" "Psychopathic" "Never Had it made" man that was my shit

I know right? I've always had the same copy since I first heard it. Remember how this came up about One less G? Why does Psychopathic do this to their classic albums? I'm just going to have to get my skip doctor out and go to work man lol. My original copy is getting collectors item treatment from now on. I always try to take care of my shit, but all the road trips, Gatherings, bringing it out somewhere, shit just happens to it. Wish I knew man, maybe ebay can hook me up, Amazon's not looking too good, just started there though. From what I can tell, everyone just wants to sell the same bullshit copy I have. Looks like I'm not the only one who didn't look too closely before buying it. Live and learn I guess right?

you had COC since '97 and you don't know about different versions? Nice. Read this:
First Jokers Card, been out the longest, so naturally it was reprinted in a variety of versions and types. The FIRST Pressings of the COC tapes had no barcode and were pressed in 1992 by a company called Cinram as opposed to the later pressings. Soon after, they started putting barcodes on. Cinram pressings had a different font used for the artwork and also had a sticker on the plastic, promoting Esham on "Taste." Since most people opened theirs, these sealed versions are especially rare and sought after. The 12" Vinyl also appeared around this time. Sometime during the ringmaster era ICP switched from having the cds pressed by cinram to discmakers creating slight differences in the tapes and CDs as time went on. In 2008 it was discovered that there was a reversed colors version of carnival of carnage that was pressed with the 0022 phone number. Will this grow to be as popular and sought after as its riddle box counterpart? Doubtful, but cool none the less. In 1998, Island released a "remastered" COC nationwide. Originally they had all of the OG tracks, but because of some uncleared samples, they had to cut out two songs, thus giving the remasters a few versions, as well as the Promo, which has a Gold Stamp on the cover and a hole in its barcode. Island also pressed the CD internationally with at least one European version of the CD being made but it is unknown to us at this time what the track listing is or if there are any artwork differences from its American counterpart. In 2002, COC was also pressed on Shock Records, for distribution in Australia. Sometime after the Shock Records pressing, the cd was pressed again in the US with the website listed in place of a phone number. In 2005 the cd was pressed yet again. this time they added a parental advisory label and a few other minor artwork changes.

i imagine they did it cuz of copyright issues cuz its been that way since like the island/hollywood days..
In 1998, the album was reissued by Island Records without the tracks "Blackin' Your Eyes" and "Night of the Axe."[20] The original version continues to be sold by Psychopathic Records.

I think its time we post a petition on whitehouse.gov to get these and the other shitty re-releases pulled off the shelves! Fuck if they can get 25,000 signatures to build a fucking death star surely we can make some magic happen

I bought my copy of CoC like five years ago from amazon... It's the OG version with all the tracks, so I can't see it being super rare or anything.
I got the shitty version of Milenko with "Boogie Woogie Wu", "The Neden Game" and "Under the Moon" missing, though. I just downloaded the missing songs.

ahhhh "the neden game" the most over-rated song in icp history. "Under the Moon" is a beautiful fucking song..... I didn't know this about milenko either! I knew they had to change the lyrics to alot of the songs but didn't know three got left out...

I didn't know they raped Milenko either. WTF? What's next? A deluxe reissue Jeckel Brothers without Fuck The World and Mad Professor but replaced with a remix of another love song and a live version of Play With Me? How about A 20th Anniversary Ringmaster deluxe super re-issue with all the original tracks except Muder Go 'Round, Chicken Huntin', Mr. Johnson's Head, My fun house, The Loons, and Bugz on my Nutz. Don't worry, it's still Ringmaster, Southwest Song is just track 2 now and all your favorite songs are mysteriously missing. Buy it

Sad thing is alot of juggalos would buy that shit. And if they took "Mr Johnsons Head" out I would send an anthrax letter straight to violent j's doorstep. They did say something about a box set of the first six....I really hope they do them justice

I would like to hear ICP re record some of the songs of CoC like Night of the Axe and Blacken yo Eyes, Psychopathic, and Ghetto Freak sHow. I bet they would sound great with all the new recording technology. It would be cool if MEC gave em a more 2000's sounding beat too i think that would be fresh for real.

after i discovered ICP on jeckyl bros, i went to tower records cuz i remember the red case in the used cd section, bought it for 5 bucks...saw the twiztid ad in the book, went back and mostasteless for 17 bucks...around late 1999 ICP had "tilt a whirl", "go all the way" and twiztid had "we dont die" on the box music channel, then halloween 2000 i bought all cds. i wanted all the icp i could get, best buy had it all! i started from the oldest album to the latest, so i picked up COC and Beverly kills, didnt like COC cuz the weak rapping and 80s sounding beats lol, but it was their first start, then i heard beverly kills and was hooked and saw how they used to be more funky
mike clark has changed sooooo much!!! it makes me pist off!!
how did the guy who created an angry masterpiece like jeckyl bros start giving us "juggalo island" and "in your face"????
i always think icps best work was the late 90s and early 2000s...and to be honest most of the "beats" arent really carnival sounding like ringmaster or riddlebox...from milenko on they had alot of guitars, chants in their hooks...
the old days was a lot of drum loops, carnival sounds and scrachting, and movie samples lol....if u had an instrumental album of jeckyl bros u would see those are killer beats!! and they aint really that carnval themed except a few here and there....i dont even want carnival sounding tracks, just good beats..."take me away" is like a dark carnival anthem and its just a rap / rock beat, i wish they could bring back that anger into the music
