Somebody please help me, this is driving me nuts. The OG mix of Chop! Chop! came on shuffle for me the other day. I’ve been trying to find the source of the sample at 3:00 (Shaggy saying “bumpin’ that Southwest gangsta song”) since then but I haven’t had any luck. It’s driving me nuts, I feel like I should know this but I’m drawing a blank.

??? That’s just the beat from the intro track on Carnival Of Carnage. I assume that little bit is what you’re talking about.

Well yeah, I know where the music came from.
I’m talking about the part that Shaggy says. I guess it could just be purposely mixed this way but that whole part (words and music) sound like it’s sampled from somewhere else. Maybe I worked myself into a shoot?

Absolutely.
I think even more than the COC intro, the music is burned into my brain from the Stranglemania VHSs. I wore those fucking things out and I feel like they played it every time they cut away to something new.
