Chopped is kinda a southern thing, I think. I never got into it but there is a lot of it down here. Not sure what the “killed” is.

Gladly. Killed and chopped is not slow like screwed and chopped. My remixes are slowed down a bit while your can still hear the voices and the instruments as they are. I don’t want to make the vocals and instruments sound like garbage. I want to respect the artist by doin that. Also by chopping it up it adds to the song and by bringing the verse back. it can make the song sound more hype then the original. its an art form of remixing. I know when I first started I know things didn’t sound right. So I have been redoing songs. I know its a Texas thing and not many people respect it but I just want to share with the world of how we remix down here. I’ve done songs from Norway, Japan, Sweden, uk, and here in the states. Every type of genre. It’s good to do things different. Make it your own. Until u have heard the songs u can’t judge. Just because u don’t like a certain style of remixing doesn’t mean that if someone puts chopped at the end of it, that it’s goin to sound like the screwed and chopped remixes. I even have people tell me it’s different from the screwed and chopped sound.

Killed is for how I slow down my remixes. U can kill in many different ways. So I can slow it down a lil or do it more and not stick to one slow speed as screwed and chopped. Screwed just means it screwed. It’s slowed way the f down. So I made a new name for the chopped of remixing. I wanted to make it different from anyone else

A remix is when you remix the tracks together, usually changing something about it such as adding a few verses, adding a different verse, adding a new hook, altering the instrumental, or using a completely different instrumental. Doing something different in the mixing process.
Taking the full song and chopping it up while screwing with the pitch is not remixing it. Because you are not remixing the the tracks together.
Really it’s just amateur DJing.
