Men evolved with nipples because our breast tissue forms before our sexual reproductive organs (biological sex determination). There’s no universal template to humans but our genetics have similarities and breast tissue is one of the secondary sexual characteristics which exist in both sexes. The thing is men don’t produce milk because men don’t produce milk. There are times, historically, when men (in very small numbers) produced milk for specific reasons. Usually because they had to or children would die.
