Hustlas was great because they weren't trying really. Alot of inadvertent comedy and just goofy and silliness. Rustlas is okay because they were trying and ended up making more of a "legit" movie and lost alot of that unintended humor. It's still pretty goddamn goofy but just doesn't stick in my mind like hustlas does.

actually thats the best way to put ICP an psychopathics success into perspective...those saying they changed or sold out or even being a juggalo doesnt hold the same meaning it once did....the internet changed the music business 100 percent..in return psychopathic records (being a record label) changed as well....fuck maybe im just high too so it seemed nothing but logical to me

Hustlas no doubt. Rustlas wasn't even that funny except a few certain parts. Only watched it twice. But Hustlas is my shit!

Definitely first one. Gonna take a few more times to decide whether I like it or think its just mediocre. I remember the first one I didn't like at first but it grew on me as time passed.

Man i just watched BMH for the first time in a long time and dang it is super funny. I almost forgot how funny this flick was. Ive seen BMR maybe once and it was cool too I liked the foot gag but as far as which is best or better? I'd have to say that Hustlas has more like sentimental value cuz i was 14 and i remember showing it for my friends who werent juggalos and they just cracked up and other ones were just like that sux man but there was some memorable stuff there and by the time i saw Rustlas i was like 26 and had heard all the hype but my priorities werent on following ICP 24/7 like back then when I was 14 and I now have a lot less time to follow em like i did but I thought it was real cool too. So the build up wasnt the same for Rustlas

and i had to watch it when my daughter wasnt there. I'd have to go with...IDK I like em both. Love the gun fights at the end.

I just watched BMR,Death Racers,And Hobo With a Shotgun all back to back the other night it was a pretty fresh lineup on TMC,I own BMR and BMH but when you dont have the movie on hand it kinda helps when they play it on Shotime And TMC.

Hustlas was a peice of shit. It was so fuckin crappy and ill directed, and low budget that it was FUCKING AMAZING. Thats (IMO) what made that movie. It was so stripped of hollywood directing and production and special effects that the essence of the actuall script and the passion of the actors (which were horrible, dont get butthurt, u know its tru) was allowed to shine thru. That movie came across to me as a work of love from psy. It gave the sence that they were gonna make a movie wether u watched that shit or not. And thats how movies should be made.

Rustlas; funny. Bought it, watched it twice. Did anyone else notice it was the same fuckin movie? Not happy. It was OK if you were super desperate for more hustlas (and who wasnt?) but it lacked that passion and originality.

yeah the thing i disliked the most about rustlas was there was too much similarities to hustlas especially twizitids parts

i disagree about hustlas being so awful it was good tho.. ive read quite a few non-juggalo movie critics reviews who surprisingly liked it.. shaggy's always been a good actor

ICP and the entire Psychopathic Family are crazy as hell.  ICP and their extended family are one of those few crazy things in life that are so good because their so bad.  They embody hip-hop spoof music at its finest, as it's all about having fun as opposed to musical purism. The psychopathic family have become the go-to experts for running a classic beat and making their fans bust out laughing in the process.  They live for spoof and satire, and it really comes out and shines.

This being said, one has to think of their two most popular movies, Hustlas and Rustlas.  My personal preference is strongly in favor of Rustlas.

I love ICP, but Hustlas was kind of a hard watch for me.  I understood what they were trying to do, but I felt certain parts were too overplayed and made the movie feel like it would have been better if it were shorter.  However, on the DVD release, it was more enjoyable for me watching it with the commentary enabled.  Listening to the narration of Violent J talking about all the "secret information" was actually quite interesting.  In the end, it felt as if the producers had played a prank on the audience that could only be appreciated by viewers who knew they were being pranked.  Hustlas was definitely a film endeavor where you could tell that the people that made it knew they were having more fun than the people that would be watching it.  Art like this is quite rare, and harkens back to screen legends like the late Andy Kaufman.  The box on this film clearly stated that people who were not Juggalos should put it back on the sales rack, and I must agree that these could not have been more true, as you have to be in on the joke to understand this film.

Rustlas broke from this mold and set out out to accomplish a much simpler satire.  It's humor was more open and less complicated, and led to a more "as-is" interpretation of the movie.  Furthermore, I felt it scored more points based on the originality of it's subject material.  There have been a great many spoofs of modern-era exploitation movies (dating from the 70's and 80's), with much higher production quality.  Rustlas was a breath of fresh air in this regard, as western spoofs have been occurring far less often lately.  This was definitely an unexpected turn, and gave the film a definite advantage in unexpected originality.

Both movies certainly have their finer points, but I'm afraid I'll have to go against my Juggalo peers and side with Rustlas on this one.  Hustlas was just too predictable, whereas Rustlas caught me completely off-guard.  I never would have expected to see Shaggy on a horse, as I would have expected any horse that saw him coming to fuck the fuck off.
