I’ll put it to you this way, for $175 you can buy any of the following:

Groceries for about 2-3 weeks

Enough alcohol to have a fucking awesome party or drink yourself to death

A big bag of high-grade herb

2-3 video games

A stack of records

Pay a bill or two

Upgrade your car stereo

Get gently-used patio furniture

Go to a sushi restaurant with a couple friends, eat, and drink a ton of sake

Buy tickets to virtually any multi-day music fest

New clothes

A full wardrobe of used clothes

A stack of books

etc. etc. etc.

or…

a single, small charm.

This message was sent from my Atari 2600 through fiber optic cable made of fucks I no longer give.

Yeah back then when they weren’t so expensive they might’ve been worth buying, but since they spiked the price, it’s almost not even worth considering, specially when you can likely get one from Hot Topic (or any other dealer off eBay per say) for cheaper. Might not be sterling silver, but close enough to look as good.

I have one of the sterling silver ones but is was around 140 or so when I got it. But if you can find the stainless steel ones, they are way cheaper and wont tarnish. You’ll have to eBay search for them probably. Just be careful on eBay and Amazon. There are many knockoffs that look almost like hatchetman charms but are slightly different.

I think you should go with stainless or if you really want the silver, then go for the 175$ sterling silver. Don’t go plated. Anything that is plated will lose it’s plating within a year and the alloy under the plating with not look silver or shiny at all.

I bought one. I mean, it’s nice…but you will have to decide if having it be sterling is $175 worth of awesome to you. Stainless ones are much less, but the sterling one is a nice piece of jewelry that will appreciate in value over time. If you’re someone who would stand a higher than average change of it getting lost (getting ripped off in a mosh pit, getting stolen, etc) maybe stainless would be a better choice. But if you’re sure that you can keep it in good shape, go for it if finances permit!

good point, i really dont go to many shows or events, anymore so It would be pretty safe on me, I actually might take the plunge and get it, a lot of the current ones on ebay now are like 100-175 for the older rendition charms and most are scratched etc…

It really just comes down to whether or not it’s worth it to YOU. If you want it, buy it. Just don’t spend all your money on it, then bitch about how you’re broke.

I bought one back in 2001, and I think it was $40.  I still have it.  I prefer the older ones, much nicer looking.

How big is the charm?  And at that price does it come with a blowjob?
