So I found this on Clownvid. It’s free on Hulu (bullshit ads though.)
If you all remember the group that did crowdfunding to go to the 2013 GOTJ and film a documentary, they’ve released it. I’m only at the part where they just got to the Gathering, and I see @scruffy in the background there!

I wasn’t overly thrilled with that one. I will say it’s probably the best *looking doc I’ve seen on the subject in a while. Stabilized and clean but they really overuse the super slow-mo which just pads the film. Also, it’s more like these guys trip report than a real documentary. There’s no mission statement and no conclusions other than the fact that they went there and didn’t get killed like they were worried about.
With the amount of “documentaries” that get cranked out on the Gathering(s), doesn’t do much to prove or disprove anything but like I said it looks good… and there’s titties so… there’s that.
I’m pretty interested to see this “official” documentary they were making while we were at the last one just to see if somehow their production comes off more like a bit of real investigative journalism or a Psychopathic promo.

I’ve got so much footage that I can’t use that it’s ridiculous. lol. Snips are fine, but we get shit for full performances.
on another note, I have some GREAT footage from the Shockfest tour coming. Gopro on my head style, but I’m going to check with Psychopathic to see if I can put a little montage clip up.

Thanks for posting this #piggofdoom, I remember hearing about this when they were making it but I didn’t know it was out.
I thought the parts where they just shut the fuck up and filmed were great, and this was totally worth watching just for that. I haven’t seen anything like that before in other Gathering docs, and these guys know how to shoot. It’s too bad they didn’t make the whole thing out of that kind of shit, maybe interspersed with some of the interviews or something like that- if they had taken themselves out of the equation and just tried to show what it was like using the footage they had, that could have been dope.
Unfortunately they stuck with the whole “regular dudes go to the Gathering” angle that I guess was the original concept, even though that went absoultely nowhere.
Otherwise, some of the Juggalo interviews were pretty good, but overall both American Juggalo and I’ve Been Down were a lot better in that respect.
