anybody remember this interview?
it was thirty-odd pages long in four parts, probably the first real shoot interview that j did. came out around the time jeckyl brothers dropped, maybe before.
i was just digging through some boxes of old documents, drawings and other shit, and found a printout of the whole thing.
its a trip. j goin over his childhood, the history of icp, 'the dark carnival defined,' his panic attacks, all kinds of shit. its the first time [that i know of] that shangri-la was ever mentioned. its kinda like a little prototype of behind the paint.
nowadays, most of the shit in there is fairly common knowledge, but at the time it was pretty much all we had to go on, outside of the music. most of us hadnt heard about any of that shit yet.
i imagine it can still be found out there on the interweb, someplace. doesnt appear to be on faygoluvers, though.

I remember exactly what you mean, I remember reading that. What I'm not sure of is exactly what the fuck it was in. The only thing that comes to mind is The Alternative Press interview that they did way back around that time, remember? It had ICP and Twiztid on the cover, it came shrinkwrapped with a copy of the dirtball. I think that's it

yup. it was jellynuts [i believe] conducting the interview. might have been the first thing he did for psy as well.
edit: so i took a quick look at the juggalogical shit, says it was put there in dec 98, so the interview is at least that old. my hard copy doesnt have a date on it anywhere.

This interview came out just as my 16 year old self was becoming a Juggalo and its still a great read. This part always makes me laugh...
