On Sept. 18th it was my Birthday and i got to go see ABK for the 2nd time. This concert was tight I love how ABK gives local guys the chance to get on the bill. But before that let me give you the run down of how the day went. Woke up about 6:45am and got my daughter to school when i got there i paid a visit to the teacher to sign up for the parent teacher conference because couldnt do it at night had a show to go to. The teacher was very unprepared and fumbled all around for her little scheduler and penciled me in. Then i Went home and took a nap til like 11 or so then watched some TV about 1 or 2 me and my wife aint some lunch of homemade burgers while watching the movie We’re The Millers which was a better movie than i thought it as going to be. Then we took another nap til about 330 which is when we arose to get prepared for the concert.By 430 we were out the door and off to Austin which is maybe 30 minutes away from San Marcos my hometown. We got to the club which was called Elysium in no time but the sorry part about it is there was no parking for the venue so i thought. So i went riding around in circle til i found some which as a few feet from the venue but there was a fee for parking there which i wasnt expecting. The reason why is because everytime i go to concerts its usually in San Antonio and theres free parking in the venue. Since this is my first time seeing a concert in Austin in about 12 years i was unaware. Anyway We parked and proceeded to pay and get in line but there was no line quite yet it was about 545pm and the doors didint open til 7. So we hung out there was maybe 4 others besides me and my wife there.
My wife and i just kickd back and listened to everybody tallk in juggalo-ese Whoop Whooping each other as more ninjas came to join in the line. After about and hour and a half of crazy texas heat they opened the doors well it was 730 when they opened the doors but we went in and the first thing i hit was the merch table which was suprisingly kinda empty. There was alot of shirts but not a whole lot of music it looked like there was only Native World Merch there which was the last tour EP and the Drive By EP and thats it. And AMB just had like 2 shirts and the God’s Hand LP but none of the other stuff i was expecting the Young Wicked mixtape and the Scrubs mixtape but they were not there and the dude Bake Lo had his cd and a few vynil stickers for sale. So i figured there aint that much people here yet i will find a spot. To my amazement they had couches all around and there was some like 5 feet from the stage so i had a seat there. I waited for my wife to get back from the restroom and justed kicked it for a minute rested my feet. The show was supposed to start at 8oclock but as with most Psy related events it started more around 9pm I dont know if they were waiting on groups to show or what but it started late.
The first dude that went on was named Travis T he was pretty dope he had a hype woman that did really good he did horrorcore with a little metal thrown in the mix. Then Joe Breezy from SHSM did his thing with out Hard Jawz who was appearantly stuck in some other town. He did ok i had seen him do better it looked like he was Drunk or High or something cuz dude was moving kinda slow. On a side note i saw dude in the restroom like 2 minutes before he went on stage. Next was the Super Smash Bros. You might know them if youre from TX or u may have seen them at the gathering. They put on and energetic performance. Then After a maybe 10 minute wait This ninja named Bake Lo comes out and starts putting in down Detroit style he has a song called Your Face where he talks about wearing peoples faces it cool. Little did i know he was the gut at the merch table taking the money. After that the Garcia Bros Themselves hit the stage and just schooled it i had to be upfront for them. They did alot of my fave songs like Old Girl, I stay Wicked, Heart Attack and many moreeven did some songs from the Young Wicked mixtape. Next there was another like ten minute wait as the crowd started to really pile up my wife got us a spot to the right of the stage right in front. The Lights dimmed and fog filled the stage and that lispy voice we all know and love could be heard Warriooooors then the music started and the crowd went crazy. He did alot of crowd favorites such asLast Chance, Gang Related, Im Coming Swingin, Hey Girl, HollowPoint and so many more. He even had AMB coe out and do Brace Yourself with him. And the last song he did was In The City which he called all the openers on to the stage and hang with him. By the end of the night everyone was singing along and everyone got their moneys work. ABK has so much energy when on stage and he does it all by himself i dont know how he does it.
So ABK left the stage and the promoter took the stage and thanked everyone for showing up. Coincidendly i met the dude before the show and spoke to him about getting an opening spot and he explained it pretty easy. So i definately want to keep in contact with him his team is called Texas Hatchet Cartel and he is responsible for bringing several Psy acts to Texas so thats cool. All in All it was a great night after the show we went to a 24hour Subway and grubbed out on subs and cherry coke laughing at people we saw at 130am. Good times.
If you went let me know how ur night went.

There was prolly 40 to 50 people in Austin. The dance floor was only half full. prolly like 5 rows maybe 6 everyone was close but i still had room to get down with out getting knocked too much. I like the small close enviornment though with out a hundred dudes trying to get stab your kindeys to get up front.

He could be playing Fort Collins because The Aggie is an infinitely better and more respectable venue than a club like The Roxy. Artists will usually switch it up when returning through Colorado, playing “secondary cities” like the Springs and FTC on alternate tours. Might be interesting because there historically has been a lot of animosity toward ABK in Fort Collins. People threw shit at him after the departure/return. One of their road guys told me Fort Collins was the only city on that tour that pelted ABK with shit. That was years back… I’m sure all is forgotten and the show will go off well. Under attended, but well.
