Anybody on the fence about going to a ABK stop in your city go. His venue in Oregon was a little smaller then a ICP/Twiztid Show but I found myself having a little bit more fun at his show. Much more personal, closer to him I could have a drink and sit close to the show and not in the back. For anybody that hasn’t been to a ABK show.

I'm going to the show in Reno tomorrow, ABK was one of the first juggalo shows I ever went to like 15 years ago. Needless to say, I'm pretty fuckin stoked.
I'm kinda jealous. He does a great live show, and I haven't seen him live since Hallowicked 2010. Unfortunately the closest he's coming to me on this one is Louisville, KY, and that's a good 5 hours away. But have fun :)

Nice, is he at a smaller venue then ICP/Twiztid use when they come through?
It's been a while since I've seen an ICP or Twiztid show. Back when I was catching them on the regular they were playing at a place called the New Oasis (that only held like, 200 people), that got closed down (for safety reasons, from what I remember). I saw Twiztid at the Knitting Factory in like, I wanna say 2012, and that was a decent size but still a small venue. They usually play at a spot called Jub Jub's Thirst Lounge, but I haven't ever been in there.
The ABK show is at a place called The Saint, I've never been in there either (and actually haven't heard of it. It's in my old neighborhood, but I moved away from there long ago), so it's gonna be interesting to see.

Thanks, It's long overdue, so that's the intention :)

I went to the first date in Seattle and it was DEAD. Love abk and he puts on a great show but I felt bad with the turn out there were only like 20 or less people there. As far as the merch though it was on point lots of shirts, posters, hats and just about all cds

I meant to get back to this thread sooner, but sleep took priority because I had work at 9 am, and didn't get home from the show until 2... so I pulled an all nighter (it was worth it, and I managed to grab all the Killa Features CDs because I already had most of ABK's stuff, already wanted them, and wasn't really pulled in enough by the opening acts to buy anything else. Also picked up a dope Native World shirt).
I had a hella good time, even though a few things seemed to be rough behind the scenes. The show started late, and ended late (started at 9, ended a little after 1 even though the bar said it was going to be 7 to midnight). I had trouble finding out who the opening acts were before the show started (and a few of them were local acts, so I dunno if they're on the tour or just at that one show), so I had literally no clue who was playing other than ABK.
Also, just like was mentioned about his previous stops on the tour, there were only like, 30 to 50 people there (and there were tons of opening acts... like 1/4 of the crowd were also performing). It's a bit of a shock that an absolute legend only drew in that small crowd, in a city that is definitely a clown town (Reno and Sparks police were throwing juggalos on the gang unit list way before the FBI made it trendy to call us bangers). I know this tour doesn't have much promotion on it, so lets do what juggalos do: spread the word to the family. I know there's ABK fans out there, lets see if we can get a few packed venues for him.
My first stop was the merch booth. They were selling pretty much every album ABK has under his belt, from Triple Features all the way back to DevelopMENTAL. If you're a collector needing to pick up some hard copies of stuff that's usually easier to just download, you'll be impressed. There was also a huge variety of ABK and Native World shirts. They also had a charity donation set up for the girl who did the vocals on Trail of Tears, she has cancer (I tossed $2 in, because it may not be much but if every ninja did that, shit adds up quick).
The venue cut the mics off of on one band, Illtrix (Reno locals, dope as fuck. Check out Seven Deadly Sinners, its a cool song). They were one of the best acts out of all the openers, and they only got through like 2 songs even though they had the crowd more pumped than anybody who was on before them. Mad V and Jay Villain had a shared set after them (not sure if they usually play separate from each other and got jammed into one slot due to time issues, or if they just have a shared set on this tour... but they got a very cold welcome from the crowd after Illtrix got cut off. I've never seen a crowd refuse to participate in audience stuff, but when they said "Native," you could almost hear crickets because not a single person shouted "World" back at them and they said it three times in a row (it was actually painful to watch).
ABK was the shit. He didn't get on stage till midnight, and it was worth the wait. He puts on just as good of a show as he did fifteen years ago, and he still does material going all the way back to Hatchet Warrior (because really, how can you have an ABK show and not have stuff like Gang Related or Hollow Points?). Once he came up, everybody was live. It was a super small venue, so those of us in front were like, 3 feet away from him. I've never been to a juggalo show at such a small venue, and it was a nice change of feel compared to the other shows I've been to.

Completely agree, but I liked Mad V and Jay Villiain permanences and the local openers weren’t that bad. I picked all the ABK CDs I was missing I just wish more juggalos would go support he out on a good show.
Yeah, I think the reaction of the crowd had more to do with a killer local act (one that a lot of people there knew personally rather than just through music... i talked to them for a bit out in the smoking area before the show and they seemed pretty cool) getting cut short directly before Jay and V went on. I've since heard some of Mad V's stuff that he contributed to on the Killa Features albums and he's growing on me more.
I've also been meaning to check out Jay's stuff, I did actually buy his On the Road EP he was selling before he went on (he was working his own merch booth, told me he had just got signed on NW and then told me about the benefit fund that was going on. Picked it up at the same time I tossed a couple bucks in the jar). I really just haven't listened to it because I picked up the Features albums and I'm really feeling those.... then Gutterwater dropped and I'm loving that.

Dude, to be honest I think Killa is just off everyone's radar these past few years. Its hard living off that 10-15 year ago fame. Shit moves hella fast these days.
Killa shows used to be PACKED! However, it was back home in Michigan a while back. I've been to 1 ABK show here in Jacksonville, FL and this was back in 2011 and I even personally know his old stage/merch guy Jim Job kicked it with him the whole show, and not gonna lie, I left before Killa even hit the stage. It was so dead, there may of been 16-25 people there. Opening acts sucked.....dunno just not feeling it.
After a while wouldn't that get discouraging?? I mean, with all the expenses on a small tour like that are you even breaking even?
