I feel ‘sad and shit’ everytime i reminisce about the past. Life is too short bro. I listen to shit sometimes and it just hits me hard that THAT shit is old, I am old, everyone is dead, shits moving too fast, etc.

I don’t get so much sad as I do nostalgic, which in turn makes me slightly sad.. Mostly I feel old and realize how long ago those memories really are. Nostalgia can be a very powerful feeling.  I feel you though, for sure

personally, im glad its been so long.  i wouldnt have expected anywhere near this kind of longevity.

plus, i got to be around for it.  the vast majority of it.  and be part of it.

thats good shit.

somebody somewhere said that ‘remember when?’ is the lowest form of conversation.

i disagree, in that there are lower forms;  but the point is, reminiscing is ultimately dwellin on yesterday at the expense of today and tomorrow.  spending time saying, ‘where did the time go?’

and nuffin wrong with that, really.  but its rhetoric.

I only get sad sometimes….

See, for me, a lot of albums just sort of bring me back to when/where I was when I was first bumping it, ya know? sometimes it’s individual songs, like KMK’s Tangerine Sky, it sounds fucking stupid but I listened to that song on repeat for like a WEEK during a very difficult break up like 10, 12 years back now. and to this fucking day I can’t listen to that fucking song without all of those emotions and thoughts just flooding back.

But on the flip side, a lot of songs, a lot of albums make me feel great for the same reason. like, Great Milenko to me represents a great fucking time in my life, so any time I bump that shit I just get fucking happy as a retard with two ice cream cones.

It’s great that you mentioned that particular song. When I saw this thread, that song came to mind. That is one that takes me back and it gets me to reminisce. When I was in the 8th grade i bumped that shit in the computer room over and over and OVER so many times, had people pissed at me and i didnt give a fuck, bumped that shit some more.

Just crazy, of all the songs you coulda mentioned.

man i remember blaring homies when it came out, during that era i was wishing soo hard i had homies that were down with the clown. the song we belong basically gave me hope that all juggalos will unite and that i would finally have some to talk about the psychopathic family with.

on another note, homies 2 smoke with almost brings tears to my eyes every time i hear it, since i wanted that soo much during those times… you best believe the first few juggalos i smoked with, that song got played when ever we blazed up for the 1st time. seeing WOTH with all you flh homies means more than you can ever imagine to me, and i do get teary everytime i watch it on youtube. i fucking wish psy would release the dvd they supposedly shot of that concert, id buy 3 copies
