I was wondering if anyone would remember this. 10 years ago today, the original era of Joker’s Cards ended officially. Who’s gonna be bumping Hell’s Pit today? I might even play Morton’s List afterwards just to celebrate further. Wish I had other people to play with tho.

waiting for the hate i like The Wraith: Shangri-La better than Hells Pit tho. I was down for a minute before either dropped and the wraith blew my mind…aint yo bidness, walk into the light, homies, thy unveiling, cotton candy and popsicles. all bangers to this day to me.

I like Hell’s Pit more than Shangri-La, jussaying.  Anyways, Real Underground Baby is what is known as an “underture”.  It’s the opposite of an overture, which is an introduction to a play, orchestra, etc. with themes used throughout the piece.  An underture is the opposite: used at the end with themes from previously in the piece of music.

I think that’s my favorite jam from the album. The Witch is darn close, though.

The Witch is pretty bad ass too.  I also like CPK’s, Suicide Hotline, and Basehead Attack a lot.  The Wraith: Remix Album has a few good and/or interesting alternatives to the songs on this album, which is a nice option.

Agreed! I like the Hell’s Pit remix CD’s a whole lot more then the Shangri-La one. Monoxide’s beat for Suicide Hotline is awesome.

The Suicide Hotline remix could be better.  I don’t like how they chopped off the intro from the original.

I can see what you mean there. I think when I was younger I was also like, “MONOXIDE MADE THE BEATT??”

Lol.  Other than chopping off the intro and the vocals possibly being a little too low in the mix [at least that’s what I remember from the two times I listened to it] it’s a pretty interesting take.
