This is a pretty good article from Patheos about balance and what college is supposed to be about.

So what happens when elite university professors don’t teach their students about prestige and leadership, but instead emphasize only the dominance aspect of hierarchy? These students – who, as I may have mentioned, are going to become the leaders of society’s major institutions in the not-too-distant future – will learn that privilege is all about dominance and oppression.

I suspect the free market will starve the unnecessary aspects of higher education out of existence, and balance will return naturally. We're not buying what radicals are selling anymore, even in the form of bullshit diplomas from dogmatic schools that lack peer review. Currently the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (FIRE)

https://www.thefire.org/

promotes civil liberties in U.S. academia, and is stoking the sanity.

Just looked up the FIRE, totally support it. A lot of people on the left don't realize that they are trying to stifle out opposing viewpoints and would see what they are doing as horrendous if someone with right wing tendencies was doing something similar.

Plus, the constant over reactions to small things draws attention from the ACTUAL serious issues that need to be addressed. For example (source is FIRE press release) a report was made saying that 62% of women in college are sexually assaulted, but their definition of sexually assaulted included hearing unwanted sexual comments or jokes. It is a very broad description that could easily be interpreted to censor. Thus, the actual serious issue of sexual harassment on campus is hindered because the information isn't correct and doubters can be made aware of that.
