The political spectrum, in my opinion, is not a good representation. I think it's more like a sphere and a centrist would sit somewhere on the outside of the sphere between the "left" and the "right", but that "centrist" point on the sphere is still an extreme to what is on the opposite side of the sphere. I don't think so since the sphere is more multi-dimensional and even those who think they are in the middle of it all have an opposite that also view themselves as the middle and there is also a middle between those two opposites. ... and on and on it goes. 

Many who claim centrist are called right by the left and left by the right. Some who claim far right are called too leftist by others on the right and the same people calling them leftist are in turn called to left by the people who they called too left. The same is true all over the "spectral sphere" of politics, left, right, up, down, inside, outside, upside down ... Most likely people project upon many points of the sphere from other's perspective while they them selves are seen as representing multiple points.

Basically, you can only find *your* middle. But your middle may be someone else's extreme. Your middle would be finding your comfortable area in the whole spectrum. Maybe something where you consider many different (possibly conflicting or opposing) points and find a personal resolution that sits well within your own consciousness. 

My middle is with Trump. If it is Trump then it's all good. Otherwise it is bad.

Simple.

My time I would normally have to use to think about issues can now be spent on things I really want to think about.
