Quick story before my cell dies.. last week the same day I got all those bluegills and sunnies, my dad and I stopped at our favorite lake sized pond on private land before calling it quits. The water was unusually clear. Someone had put in goldfish years ago and while I'd caught one about fifteen years back there, I didn't see any more until last week. They were fucking everywhere! Red orange koi carp things, along with albino carp and some sword white and orange spotted ones. The guy that owns the water is pissed that they're in there, but you gotta admit they are fucking a visual marvel. They were all over the fucking coast man. I was transfixed. None would take bait or lures. They were spawning or something. This is the same place I've caught huge walleye , perch and bullhead. And some cats.

Anyway, imagine my horror looking at the beautiful fish when the biggest snapping turtle is ever seen comes floating by. It was so unsettling for some reason, like when you aren't expecting to see a snake somewhere. Mammoth turtle y'all. That pond is more than a pond it seems
