Just sounds like literally everything else he always does. The beat itself is ok but it’s so unoriginal and been done to death by not only himself, but many other producers before him. Then he follows the usual format of having a melodic chorus but it’s pretty much the same melody/style he always goes to. I know he has talent but dude needs to maybe listen to broaden his horizons in terms of his influences and shit.

Slaughter had a lot of filler songs like this. I really enjoyed his Vengeance EP. Trying to mix chopper rap with horrorcore always felt real hit and miss with me because horrorcore’s a lot to do with concepts, painting a scene, telling a story. Then chopper rap is a lot of “I need to write a whole lot of 4 syllable bars about nothing but say them really fast, and hope that compensates for not really saying much.”
I like the sing song choruses, and I lower my expectations when he starts with his “gotta go fast” delivery.
Also I’m not a fan at all of Otis marking the fuck out Twiztid wearing that shirt.

The synopsis of every Young Wicked song:
I was being held down but I’m way better than anyone realizes I am. I will persevere through all of the hatred and misfortune that comes my way. My hustle is that of great magnitude. You can not stop me from achieving the goals I have set for myself. (generic trap beat plays in the background)

Not gonna lie. I stopped listening like 20 seconds in when he rhymed up with up, and then immediately after rhymed nuts with nuts.
I don’t even hate young wicked like some of ya’ll but come the fuck on a grade schooler can rhyme better than that homie.

I feel like he may have the technical abilities to rap and produce songs, but he lacks in creativity. I dont care if he rhymes me with stay or whatever, as long as the main concept / story behind the song / creative background music wise and the delivery of such is captivating. But it isnt, and so almost every song by YW just bores me.
edit: And as I said previously – almost every chorus annoys me. A lot.
Of course, because of my antipathy I dont know every song. If there’s someone out there who feels like YW is just misunderstood (music wise), I’d appreciate a recommandation of a song to prove my prejudices (ICP related YW singings dont count). But I doubt it would change anything.

Lyrics have been his problem for a while. He and Bonez can both rap just fine. But it’s never really about anything special. If they could nail that down, they would be great.
Unforgiven Forest is an example of the exact opposite. Good storytelling but the rapping is kinda meh. They should combine what they used to do with what they do now and see what happens. Although we’re going to have to wait until the next album, because Muerte is almost certainly a paint by numbers 2016-2017 AMB thing given when it was written and recorded. It’s most likely going up for preorder after the LARS album drops if I had to guess.

Even if ICP are never the most technically skilled lyricists, and they’re not. They don’t rhyme words with itself, and they know how to tell a story, which is what horrorcore is more about than technical skill or elaborate rhymeschemes. Sure, there are some great lyricists who do horrorcore, and some none horrorcore artists who are great storytellers. But this song just…has nothing going on for it other than speed.
