I believe it’s the first dumb mistake MNE has made period. All he did is bring drama on board. I saw Twiztid tweet they sign talented rappers only when they were tweeted about signing a rapper that hates them. Sure he’s talented but couldn’t they have waited?? Young Wickeds an idiot who ain’t thinking straight. MNE needed no part of the Psychopathic/ Young Wicked drama. It just makes Monoxide look like he’s feeding his ego to show Psychopathic what they stole.

in reality, ICP is the best thing on PSY, and MNE has a solid roster. FACT.Just don’t pick sides. don’t make this into a NWO red n black vs NWO black n white thing. keep it about the music, not politics.
Does resemble the ol’ nWo split back in the day doesn’t it? lol
I was one of the few that stuck with Hollywood. I always prefer the heels. Anyone can’t hype up a crowd and get em cheering. It takes a talent to make em so mad they’re throwing their drinks at you in the ring.

That is EXACTLY what mono is doing. We all knew twiztid could survive without psy if they left. But they might just end up destroying themselves.
The drama is one thing but another thing I am looking at is this loaded roster. How can they afford them all in the long run?
It isn’t like Juggalo shows bring 25k people every time. You are talking they grabbed all of the top paid Juggalo talent except ICP, ABK and Blaze. Plus a few new guys.
In two or three years 5 of them will be off the roster.
1. Gorilla Voltage – sells will be ultimately disappointing compared to what mono hoped. They get dropped after the first or second album.
2. Boondox flakes out again. One or two albums before that happens also.
3. Lex-I saw him twice last year. Both times he was frustrated with the small turn out it was obvious he wanted more. I expect a switch in gimmick and a push away from the Juggalo thing with hopes of mainstream success.
4. AMB and YW – Ok so technically this makes six artists but I suspect YW and Bonez to drop first. The drama becomes too much and a hard decision will be made by twiztid.
Overall cap casualties will happen. It is a business after all.

So…. Nothing lasts forever? Bold prediction there. How many non-redundant bands rotated through Psy and spent less than five years? A majority.
shit, weren’t there quite a few acts that were on psychopathic, never released an album at all, and then were quietly dropped from the label?

It’s easy to say MNE is “stealing talent”…but ask yourself this.
How FUCKED up is Psychopathics management if all of their top names, except the fucking owner, just left the label within the span of 2 years?
Twiztid was on psychopathic for what? 2 decades now? give or take a year or two? The question none of ya’ll seem to be asking yourselves is what did, or what didn’t, psychopathic records do to keep their talent happy and on the label?
Also, I’m sick and fucking tired of all of this “they owe their entire careers to ICP” “Twiztid ain’t shit without psychopathic” “no one would’ve heard of young wicked without ICP” “remember where you came from”, “boondox was just some hick in georgia before he joined the hatchet”. Psychopathic records IS A BUSINESS. Do you think they didn’t make the label millions of dollars? do you think psychopathic records is a fucking charity for under privileged artists? They weren’t doing any of them a favor, they saw talent and they wanted to make a mutually beneficial business deal with that talent, thats just how the fucking business goes.

I’ve been comparing the entire situation to WCW vs WWF. Sure MNE has the upper hand now and had stole Psychopathics talent but can the company survive as long as Psychopathic? People can say what they will that Psychopathic Records is dead but until they file for bankruptcy or if ICP disbands I won’t believe it. Also I question how much money MNE is making back from what they spend. Look at all the limited edition merchandise and limited pressed CDs on Twiztidshop. Same with the bundles for every CD Pre-Order. Even after a year or two they STILL sit in stock. They constantly add new merch. They are probably gonna slowly put the record label in the red. Not to mention if they lose enough Juggalo support show attendance will die. They are surviving on what ICP built for them. It’s like if your mom and dad bought you a car and you did NO maintenance on it ever. Psychopathic has been quiet for the past few years but I’m sure they are budgeting for a long term future to survive in the constantly changing music scene. Things don’t work like they used to. You can’t rely off hard back CD sales anymore. Psychopathic has been drug through shit since day one and still survives.

Kinda my point.
Right now the roster looks strong but it will diminish and they will eventually stick with five or so acts. Twiztid wants to make money, they won’t if they have to keep paying others who don’t sell.
PSY isn’t even 5 artists behind. They have ABK, Lyte, Blahzay, ICP and Hoodoo.
ICP alone can draw bigger crowds then an entire MNE roster.
Basically PSY will survive this just fine.

I’m not picking sides because I got love for both record labels but I share Nyros sentiment. I hope MNE succeeds because then we all benefit, and here’s the but, BUT I don’t know how well they’re doing financially. It seems like they’re in the green since they have money to sign artists and all that but for how long? The juggalo scene is getting smaller and smaller, private growing out of it or they’re still into it but not buying records. They got a lot of artists relying on them and George, I hope they don’tet them down. Psychopathic will always be okay imo. ICP are legends, even if it’s for the wrong things. They’re somewhat well known out of this niche and can still pull a headline. They have their wrestling connections as well and the gathering.
That’s another thing, if MNE tries to make their own version of the gathering it’ll be wack. Not because if who’s holding it but because both festivals will have less juggalos and it won’t be as epic. I feel like the gathering should be Switzerland.
My brain is gone, my brain is gone, say no more my brain is gone

No, Twiztid owes everything to Psy just like ICP owe everything to Mickey Mouse.

ICP will always have the name factor for their legacy whether you love em or hate them. You don’t know how many times I’ll wear a Twiztid shirt and non Juggalos around me will refer to it as a ICP shirt. Hell when I went and saw Twiztid at the Roxy for night 2 I mentioned to a girl that worked at a CD store I was going to a Twiztid concert she mentioned “ICP preformed at the Roxy last night” when it was infact Twiztid for night one. It’s damn near impossible for Twiztid to escape the past at this point.

Holy Shit!!! Mickey Mouse owned ICP for nearly 20 years?
Mickey is one shady little mouse and here I thought Disney was all wholesome and shit. This whole time Mickey has been the king of the wicked shit….
I feel betrayed.
Nope, but they did put ICP on a national level and did lead to them signing to Def Jam which did lead to them finally having albums that charted. It could be easily argued that ICP would not be where they are if it weren’t for Disney and Def Jam.

I don’t think Twiztid or MNE owe ICP or Psychopathic nearly as much as they owe Juggalos. However they can do what they want and juggalos can spend their money where they want.

icp did not give Twiztid a career, they gave them a chance, no label can just make someone know, sell records, or get people to the show that is up to the artist and I think is say something about psy management, revenue, and promotion to keep their artist if all but one one of the og’s leave when their contracts are up and if people really cared if artist were nice people, no one would listen to Kayne or hipson.

Kanye is actually known for being a very polite guy in person, he just speaks his mind and people find that douchey.
