I wanted to grab that Mostasteless fetus cover on cassette and CD, but it's already gone! Matter fact, I never even saw the CD listed for sale on their site. Besides their big releases, like Mutant Remastered, which can be found at sites all over the internet, their more obscure stuff never lasts long. They had an EP come out a little over a year ago, Get Twiztid, and that CD didn't last long on their site before it disappeared, too. I wanted that one as well.

Just checked and fetus cassette is still on twizshop. That didn't fly off the shelf like they (and you) thought.

And so is get twiztid for that matter. That has never sold out before Unless you mean the first cover.

HOK homebound cassette is now up, surprised faygoluvers hasnt posted anything. They cant keep up with how much merch and media twiztid is releasing.

And in response to your inquiry, Twiztid does limited vinyls and cassettes because there isn't a big market for it. They can't print 100,000 copies of Mutant on vinyl and expect to sell them. Their "ultra limited wicked vinyl" still has not sold out.

Like you said, all their standard releases on cd are mass produced. And the old school media formats are not.

Even Freek Show has yet to sell out. That's why I don't fall for there "pre-order now before it's gone"

You mean this: http://www.faygoluvers.net/v5/2016/05/throwback-thursday-featuring-hok-items-twiztidshop-com/

Scottie posted that on 05/19/16

Get Twiztid was released by Twiztid themselves, once they signed their Distribution deal, they stopped selling it.

To ensure they sell out of all their products everytime so they can only make profit and no loss due to excess stock etc. This then creates hype and adds value to what has just been sold so you can release again at a later date cash in and repeat the process, which at the same time creates hype for future products even different to the released on as everyone who missed on the last limited time offer will ensure they snap up the next lot of goodies so that they don't "miss out" like last time. Plus it's probably their monthly wage to ensure they have like a salery of sorts

Supply and demand at it's finest and simplest

For further research please refer to Slurm being replaced by New Slurm (which tastes terrible) to then later be replaced by Slurm classic and people go wild for it

Yeah, not a big fan of their business practices. Like some of their music though.

What Twiztid Shop needs to do with their limited releases, especially with products like the 7" records is to limit the amount sold to only one or two per customer. It's ridiculous that they allow people to buy a ton of copies only for them to be resold at way higher prices giving everyone the bone who missed out.

My thoughts exactly.
Limit 2 per customer or something.
Only for limited releases though.
