They have that strange sound because of seven, his style is something that you can hear from all the beats he makes. I think the track is dope. I liked abominationz and this sounds like a step up from it, not really sure if I want an abominationz part 2 tho. Never understood all the hate for fritz, green book was solid as fuck from start to finish. I still bump that shit. Mostastless was dope but I doubt twiztid would ever fuck with that producer again. Scott ??? i think his name was.

I'm not going to go any further cause I wanna hear the rest of darkness to give my opinion, I know i'll like it but I really don't think anything will beat mostastless or green book.

and if that really is the cover, that shit is so ugly. The colors suck, and the pictures in the corner is horrible. Easily one of the worst twiztid covers. I suck at photoshop and can easily make that... they didn't even bother to cut the circle out right. You can tell someone drew the middle circle pic and they cropped it into that pic. Looks like a noobie design "artist" they need to hire someone better.

Green book was solid, not debating that but I like it more for the the lyrics and content moreso than the beats. Honestly, mostasteless was their only album that I truly loved the beats, everything else has been ok to bad as far as the beats go. Good thing for them they can rap and put together meaningful music. Just my opinion.

You aren't the only one. Green book I liked for the lyrics as well. I thought that was some of twiztid's most solid work lyric wise. Beats could of been better but overall the lyrics made that whole cd but the vibe was dope. Twiztid's songs don't stick in my head anymore either. Since they released H&H i've just been kinda meh with em. I honestly think it's the production. But that's always been my biggest gripe with twiztid and psychopathic. I still like the music for what it is and bump it, abominationz took a couple days to grow on me. I always liked twiztid more when they threw regular rap in with wicked shit instead of just straight wicked tracks. Maybe that's why green book stands out from me they had a mix of everything you could possibly want from them as a group and I loved it.

I just always felt like fritz had that special magic with twiztid on albums, and since he's gone I haven't felt that anymore. I'm hoping this next cd has a couple tracks just to get a taste of what they're doing.

I came up with an idea earlier. I think what twiztid and ICP both should do is pick 3 of their favorite producers. Each produce 5 beats for that album and put a poll up on for the fans to see who should produce the next major album by both acts.

so basicly, you think they should play underground psychos, only using their own careers?

How is that underground psycho's? All are well known producers in the psychopathic camp. All have made beats. Let the fans decide who they want to make the new album. Make MEC step up his production.

underground psychos is the contest they held right? or you talking about the compilation cd with all horrorcore acts? either way, none of that has to do with this idea. It's something new and fresh and let's the fans choose what they really want to hear what new direction icp and twiztid should go in. Not the "here's 2 years of work we've been working on here's our cd" and it come out and us all being let down.

ICP of all people always promote the cd to be the "dopest shit they've ever done" every single time, and hype it up and I go in with an open mind and get let down. As i've stated, BPB and MDP was kind of a letdown because me - being a long time fan, I know what ICP and MEC are capable of. Same goes with eminem, since he' stopped working with dre his music has been lackluster in my eyes.

Even if people say "if icp switches it up how can they evolve, blah blah blah"

go back and listen to everything from COC all the way up to hells pit. and all the ep's, solo albums, and all that in between. It all had that classic sound, not everything was "wicked" it's the sounds MEC is using, the lack of bass in 70% of the songs.

Agree with me or not, that's how I feel.

Sorry for this being so long.

answered your own question.

i dislike the idea.  speaking only for myself, if there is one thing i dont want, its for icp [or twiztid] to start taking fan advice about what music to make.

imagine the flh forum as president of psychopathic records.  ugh.

Make MEC step up his production.

i happen to think that mikes production doesnt particularly need to step up any, its already there.

It's something new and fresh and let's the fans choose what they really want to hear

yeah, thats almost precisely the way psy described the underground psychos thing.

Not the "here's 2 years of work we've been working on here's our cd" and it come out and us all being let down.

not all of us.  why does everybody think their opinion is the only one?

and frankly, id rather they work for two years on an album, than slap one together at our insistence.

ICP of all people always promote the cd to be the "dopest shit they've ever done" every single time, and hype it up

wouldnt you?

and I go in with an open mind and get let down.

thats not going in with an open mind, as much as it is having a preconceived opinion.  you cant be let down, if you dont have expectations.

go back and listen to everything from COC all the way up to hells pit. and all the ep's, solo albums, and all that in between. It all had that classic sound,

carnival of carnage is dated as fuck, ringmaster is not aging well, and i myself am starting to feel that elements of riddle box and milenko are antiquated.  i could go on.

they have a 'classic' sound because they are old, see.

not everything was "wicked" it's the sounds MEC is using, the lack of bass in 70% of the songs.

most ninjas today are bitching that mec doesnt sound wicked enough.

again, this shows why i dont want them using fan opinion for direction.  everyone disagrees about everything.  they would end up having to appeal to the lowest common denominator, just like a pop radio station.

And Bang Pow Boom was the worst ICP CD ever.

I just listened to The Calm & Eye of the Storm for the first time ever yesterday... how can you ever say BPB is their worst release?! Im very confused on what they were trying to go for on those albiums... it reminded me of the shining... not that great but it does have some decent songs. Im wondering if the Tempest is going to be any different. P.S. I loooovvvveeee BPB! lol

I'm not the only one.. do you guys have any idea how many fans Icp have lost due to the new set? There's a major MAJOR crowd that wants them to return to the wicked shit rather than the goofy shit they are doing now. Say what you want, and defend that as much as you want it's the truth. In fact, Killjoy club did so bad here they had to reschedule it because it did poorly on selling tickets. And I actually thought KJC was dope. And I dug eye of the storm. Everybody has different opinions i'm just saying what i'd like to see happen. Underground psycho's was never about what the fans wanted regardless who wants to fight with me about that, that shit was rigged. Nobody wanted amb to win. Everybody booed them off stage and loved playaz lounge crew. It's cool tho cause Otis makes some dope beats so he can stay on psy for all I care.

Riddlebox and milenko will never get old to me. 20 years from now i'll still love those albums. I even liked AJB alot. This is the music I grew up on not 90s rock, not early hip hop. none of that. I listened to straight Icp and twiztid. They were in the right direction with the tempest IN MY OPINION, and I feel they should of kept that going on the new set.

There's not one album of theirs that I can look at and say, "No it has nothing I like."  Every one is good in some way.

Oh bless your soul, lol. When I seen you write that about BPB... I was like NNOOOOO, I pretty much see eye to eye with you on everything!!! lol. I do fully agree with this statement you wrote though. How can juggalos just say an entire album just sucks? The Calm & Eye of the Storm are probably my least favorites and I still kept like 3/4 of both albums, lol. And I know I do my fair share of complaining but WTF is going on with the ICP bashing on these forums? Is this a fuckin juggalo forum or what?! lol.

It's not bashing. I've been pretty much cool with everything icp has done until these new cards.

It's whatever i'm done talking about this

Oh, right... this is a Twiztid thread.

Fuck.

Anyway, I liked Boogieman.  But Twiztid's lyrics don't get memorized by me anymore.  I guess it's cuz they're better rappers now and I can't keep up.  Monoxide still gives me chills on some of his deliveries though.  Especially the line "...hanging around like gallows...." He's my favorite rapper like, of all time.  Madrox is cool, but sometimes he just sounds like a mosquito.

right lol!wink Same here. especially madrox. hes fast and way to complex for me lol.

me not very like.

not that its bad, but its that overly-rockdafied sound that bugs me.

and yeah, to my ear, twiztid is focusin way more on droppin dope flows, than they are droppin dope songs.  overall.

i love Twiztid. but i have no urge to seek out their new shit. only heard like three or five post-PSY tracks, but it just isnt as appealing. i recognize the talent and such, but i just am not excited about it. maybe OMD is getting too old, or maybe too dangerous. maybe too mr...

i recognize that Abominationz is one of their tightest albums. i like it. but i would rather hear WICKED or Mostasteless. i guess that style is the one i prefer from James and Paul.

jamie the mosquito, hahah very funny. its a weird thing, as he has always been.my favorite PSY rapper, but the high pitched tone shit it off putting.

@old-mr-dangerous Did you like Gang Rags Reborn?

See, my favorite thing is when each artist sounds distinct.  I noticed on Psy, the artists' first 1-3 albums are always pretty formulaic Psychopathic releases.  But then the artist becomes their own.  That never happened with Blaze.  With Reborn, I feel like he actually sounds like... a distinct artist/character.

havent heard it yet. i loved Gang Rags Extended Tour version.
